But with different [individual] color. They must have been running different paint booths...or simply misleading their customers. |

Not sure about Spartanburg, but the munich plant can switch colors in real time (between cars) so there's no batching of colors. I'm not sure how the individual ones work maybe they are only loaded on lesser intervals.

I saw a big pick-up truck driving on the highway the other day pulling a large trailer that had a few BMW SUV's on it that appeared to be brand new. I was wondering if it was coming up from SC or something. This probably explains what I was seeing...

Its been 3 days since I took delivery and let me tell you BMW hit it out of the park with this one. Just to give a little background I came from a 2015 Cayenne Turbo and this X5 M50i is by far WAY better in every way. The handling, the engine sound, and the power delivery is second to none. Plus, the transmission is butter smooth. My Cayenne would lag in shifting where this M50i is sharp and fast. IMO I could honestly say that BMW hit this one out of the park. I can only imagine how a X5M would be but I can also see how the M50i hits all the check marks. Also, I am so glad I added the Dynamic Handling Package last minute. Man is this this drive like its on rails. This is an options I wouldn't leave out.
As for the HK speakers they are good but you can tell it needs more power. I pretty sure I will upgrade to the Bavsound speakers and subs next month. I also heard from Bavsound that the new amp for our car will be out later this year. This will solve this issue. I was going to had the B&W sound package but had to add the Executive package which honestly I didn't see the value in the $3k++ package. As for the acoustic glass which you can't get I can tell you this X5 is super quite inside. No need to worry about that. Tomorrow I go in for tinting all my windows to keep the heat out which is brutal down here in SC. I will post some pics later tomorrow with that done. All in all this X5 M50i is 10/10.
