Actually I was hoping someone with oem springs would measure the gap on theirs so I could compare. In looking at before & after pictures it doesn't appear to have changed much, and definitely not enough to visually see a difference.
My hope is that it will settle a little bit over the next couple of weeks, but not sure it will be enough. I will keep you posted.

I’ve had multiple suspension setups and have taken measurements along the way. All measurements listed here were on stock 21/22 tires (I measured from the ground to center of the wheel fender arch)

Stock front: 32.25”
Stock rear: 32.50”

MSS front set all the way down: 30.375”
MSS rear set at 10mm from the lowest setting: 31”

That’s the adjustment that I pre-set for Bankerbry
It shocks me on the outcome too.

Based on my experience I would definitely go with KW! There is no noticeable difference in the wheel gap after spending $3k to install MSS springs. MSS can send me a refund check for the $3k that I wasted on their springs and another $1k to pay for the install on a set of KW's.

Just parked next to a stock X6 and I couldn't help but admire the wheel gap, which happens to be less than mine with MSS lowering springs. SMH 🙄

Will do.
I told Ben that I would give the MSS another week to see if they settle. I have my doubts though

I'm way down the rabbit hole on all of these posts still trying to decide between the MSS or KW kits. At the very least I want to get rid of the terrible wheel gap but I don't want it to be any more harsh than stock. I read one post that says MSS is smoother and then I read another that KW is, which one is it haha?!

Not low enough for what you're getting. I had MSS from Ben and they were perfect on my 21 X5M. Currently going with KW coilovers for my 24.

To add if you don’t mind.

KW V4 is the perfect solution for any lowering more than what MSS can give.
Downside, it is expensive and you won’t have the EDC anymore.
And surprisingly, KW always behind on SUV market since they are never sure on how the market is.
Everytime they released it, I am pretty much done with the car.

Question that I have, how to fix the front camber when 1.25” drop already gives you a lot of negative camber where guys like Alan l. burning front tires every 8,000 to 10,000 miles.

That’s mean, KW HAS at 1.4” and KW V4 set at 1.5” or more will be almost impossible to fix.
Unless, if I ever decided to make adjustable front upper control arm from billet which can cost anywhere close to $2k for the pair.

This platform is super tall by default.
1.25” is where the sweet spot to lower while keeping ride quality.
Few of my local customers goes with KW HAS for a 1.4” drop, while compromise the ride quality. For .15” extra, I don’t think it worth the downgrade.
Also, since your car’s color is dark, it gives different illusion too.
I wanted to post an update in this thread regarding my MSS springs.
I've been working with Ben at RG to try and determine why this didn't drop as much as either of us expected.
However, after checking & double checking all of the details I honestly think this may have been just my expectations being out of line.
I've analyzed before pictures and after pictures and now realize that my vehicle did lower almost 2" now after putting approximately 600 miles on the new springs.
In looking at a lot of other owners pictures on this forum, I expected the wheel gap to be slightly less than where mine ended up. At the end of the day these vehicles are set up high from the factory and there's only so far you can go without ruining the ride quality. (Shame on you BMW, nobody buys this to go off roading) 🤣
I have to say now that I've been able to process everything, I absolutely love this vehicle and am extremely impressed with the ride quality. The MSS springs actually smoothed the ride out slightly and this has been appreciated. In addition to that when I compare the look to a factory X5MC, I think it looks great. It also aligned very well.
Thank you to Ben for helping me trouble shoot and working with MSS to get measurements etc. His customer service went above & beyond, and I think it would be difficult to find someone more knowledgeable on BMW springs & mods.

A little bit of settling made all the difference! I had to share a couple of pictures that I took this afternoon. Loving it!

Is that 10mm rear & fully lowered on the front .. I don’t understand why many go with 10mm in the rear as looks unbalanced once springs settle …

Per Bens recommendation, I actually went 12mm in the front & 18mm in the rear. Yes fully lowered.

That doesn’t look fully lowered in the rear at all . Looks like fully lowered at the front & 10mm from max drop in the rear when Ben recommends …

His setup is fully lowered on the front and 10mm on the rear.
What he meant with 12/18 was his wheel spacers.

I think it is the high sun shadowing gives the illusion of not low enough.
