Harma kadon bass trouble

Hello i got my brand new X5 with HK and i feel a little bit dissapointed… specially with the bass they are so strong that when i wanna listen loud the sound start to distort, i mean with music at half volume perfect but when i want to listen louder…. The trebble perfect but too much bass
Any recomendation about the configuration??? Thanks in advance!!!

Use the equalizer setting to reduce the bass to your preferred sound!

Too much bass? They must be doing something different with the ones going to Europe than the ons in the States. Mine barely has bass.

No idea! But the bass here in spain is strong i improve it moving down until -2 but if i move over 0 it’s too much!!!

is the bass strong and powerful or is it muddy and distorted?

For me is more muddy and distorted if you pump up the volume more than 75% ! Now i decrease bass and sound better but i was thinking that it would be better sound system :-(

That is normal for modern mainstream sound systems, the EQ setting changes vs volume. The point is to disguise the system's flaws.

It is known that this Harman Kardon system is quite bad, a cheap setup, bad rep for BMW.

If only the B&W was available for all models and all markets...

So BMW please, at least build a system that is mod friendly... but no way, BMW lets down good sounding music solutions.

What software version is your iDrive running on? I have seen my bass drop significantly after upgrade to 11/2023.42 and I am extremely dissatisfied. I liked the bass before when it was high.
