The last time I tried ceramic cookware everything either stuck to it or it got horribly scorched permanently. Admittedly, it was a cheap pan from Target or something. How's the cooking experience with these?

If you are serious about cooking, then invest some something that's tried and true. This Caraway brand has only been around for a year and is direct to consumer. Most folks probably buy it after seeing it on social media.

In the middle of an entire remodel, so those nasty counters and backsplash in that photo will disappear soon. The floors just finished being installed and our oven put back. I’ll let you know how it is, I don’t expect anything to stick to these at this price point.

While that assertion may hold merit, I posses no such shitty ways of consumption. These have been around for 3 years, not 1, and have gained a lot of praise and respect with the only comparison being the one you made, lack of tenure. Everyone has a start, I’m helping continue to give caraway theirs.

I bought my wife 2 pieces of Le Creuset, thought she'd love them but quite the opposite. Like a previous person said, she found the ceramic coating made things stick horribly. She went back to cast iron which I don't like because of the smoke factor they create sometimes.

Did we do something wrong or should we have gone with something nicer?

You have to use oil for those enamel finished cookware brands to prevent sticking, no?

The instructions call for light butter or oil so i’d assume so. If these suck, they will go RIGHT back. If they are good, I’ll certainly let y’all know.

Which piece of Le Creuset did she own, what was she making with it and what kind of heating source did she use? They can all play a factor.

Of all the Le Creuset pieces we own (braisers, Dutch overs, sauce pans and roasters), they are all cast iron. We do have a few frying pans by Le Creuset (forged hard anodized) but most are All Clad. When I cook outside, I use cast iron Lodge pieces.

Cast iron will for ever, and always reign Supreme.

Also, I like carbon steel.

I basically only use cast iron, cheap stuff not lecruset... IT's CAST FUCKING IRON. I got rid of al teflon pans, i have learnt how to cook things like eggs etc in cast iron No enamel either, just flat out, cast iron.

Only exception is a crepe pan that is french blue steel, incredibly tough to get it right but once I did, all good.

The wife and I bought the same set almost a year ago and they have held up great! We cook with them a few times a week. Food cooks a lot quicker in them as well. Well worth the money!

Never heard of ASDA. Figured it was some sort of food acronym.

So I see. I learned something today. Always a good thing. Do the Brits dress for Walmart like they do in the U.S.?
