Ticking noise coming from front wheel when turning

I experienced some sort of ticking noise when turning the front wheel (left or right) at low speeds (i.e.: pulling out of garage, driveway, or going through drive-thru, etc.). It turns out that there is a SIB 34 05 17 that addresses just that.

Takes about 2 hours for the tech to remove the front wheels, clean the bearing flanges, install the friction discs (1 for each side), and replace wheels. If your production date is more than 24 months, the SIB also calls for replacement of all the wheel lugs (20 total, front and rear) so pay attention to that when you take yours in for service.
