So trading my X5 M50i for a X5MC, question is Marina Bay blue or black? I’m leaning towards the bay blue simply because this is a special car and should stand out a bit. Thoughts? Or is it true what they say always bet on black? Excited about the car, still leary on paying a few bucks more a month

So ive owned both. Currently own a MBB X5MC and previously owned a Matte Black Car, (Huracan).

Blue gets wayyy more compliments and looks. the only reason the black got looks is because it was a lambo (obviously) and it looked like the batmobile.

I have a love/hate relationship with black. Every vehicle I have had since 1990 has been black or some shade of grey. I do black, then grey. Rinse, repeat. When I have black, I love it for 10 minutes after a wash. Then I hate it. When I have grey, I have black envy

I broke my comfort zone and now have a MBB X6M. Love it. It’s my midlife crisis color. I ordered a Long Beach Blue on my 2019 but chickened out and changed at the last minute. I’m glad I did, it was too loud. I really, really love the MBB. It does seem to show dirt a lot more than the Donington Grey I got on the 2019, but the color is beautiful. Pics don’t do it any justice. I honestly no longer have black envy. Go for the MBB!

You won't regret it. I have had lots of awesome cars and never received as many compliments as I did with this one. Invest in having it paint corrected and ceramic coated. It looks beautiful. Recently got a white car and in it is a pain in the ass. I had a black Jeep SRT and same pain in the butt. Impossible
To keep clean. One wash a week with detailing after doesn't cut it with black.

I think silver is the best color if you want low maintenance. But that blue really pops and it is relatively clean in comparison to black.

Had a mbb m5 before current x5m. Mbb way better than black. You won't regret it. Mbb is special enough, yet can blend in with traffic so as to not call much attention. Def looks better when dirty compared to black.

Great choice. For the record MBB looks clean even when dirty. And to your point on one of your other comments. Yes this color gets a ton of attention and praise. You'll hear it a lot how beautiful the vehicle is.

MBB is the best bmw blue at the moment and looks STUNNING on the X5M. I get tons of compliments from everyone even non car people on the color alone.

I have bsm. I wash the car once or twice a week. My car is ceramic coated and washing really consists of high pressure rinsing the car and blow drying it with a leaf blower--takes 10 mins.

That said, I would not get bsm again!

We've had 3 black vehicles and they are plain looking, which is why I went with T Blue for this X5. Even the samurai grey on the Q7 looked better than a blacked out Velar (wife's). Lincoln/Cadillac do a good job creating contrast with the chrome bits, but I still feel it's a boring look (to each, their own)

Everyone who sees this color in the wild loves it. It shows dirt more than I thought it would, but I'm super happy with it. It's awesome, but not too crazy at the same time.

Yes MBB for sure. I was going to get black but my wife said Marina Bay. She was right. Pictures do not do it justice. Depending on the light it can look deep blue or a light blue. I always get black cars but the contrast of the shadowline with blue is amazing. It's a very special car and the black does not do enough justice I think. I went with sliverstone interior. The combination is amazing.

I’m about to order very soon more than likely a 23 x5mc in mbb. I was going to go with the ivory and blue interior. I think it looks amazing. What do you guys think of that color combo? I have a 21 x7m50i in mineral white with ivory DVD I love that car and color combo. This time I wanted that amazing mbb and ivory and blue interior. My other choice was the sakir/ black interior. Thoughts? My wife and daughters prefer the tanzanite over the mbb. Which I also like but I think my head is set on mbb. lol conflicted.
