Using a rental storage as a garage to work on BMWs

Like the title says, we are using a rental storage as a garage. Hopefully the space will be sufficient. Luckily we found a storage with electricity!

+1 They don't want the liability if the car falls on you / damage to the facility.

Why not just rent an actual garage?

I'm betting the huge banners that make it look like an Al Qaeda clubhouse will draw more heat than whatever half-assed 'repairs' they can manage (unless the fumes from the plasti-dip and Axe ignite).

How can you work in that tight space?

Will there be any lifts or jacks used, if so how?

Damn 128i owners. Go buy a real BMW and a house with a garage.

Get a shed garage and pay monthly payments with financing. A rental unit you still need to drive to all the time and has potential of theft as well.

i was kinda in the same boat since i was living in an apartment and with the winters in OHIO i did not drive my car so i rented a storage for 3-4 months but during that time i would use it to detail my car and what not. the storage manager actually told me i couldn't use the storage as a garage and i asked if it was in the contract? she said no but it is being revised to include no repairs are allowed. that was last year but now that i'm in a house i don't have to worry about it

Just pay someone to do the work and save yourself from renting while breaching the contract... Also no bloody knuckles.
