Are they effective in significantly reducing the road dirt on the tailgate and rear glass?

Here are some more pictures. These guards are from ebay as well. Mudflaps aren't miracle workers at keeping your car clean, but they do a pretty good job of keeping the rocks from bouncing off the side skirts.
These aren't very wide. They cover the tires outer edge, but are probably only 2/3rds as wide as the tire which seemed kind of lame. It is just splashing up on your undercarriage so I guess it doesn't matter that much. |

Can anyone confirm receipt and fitment of these mudflaps? Can you install without removing wheels?

Mine aren't exactly that brand, but I got them on without removing wheels or using a jack. The hardware that came with them was crap so I didn't use the little clip nuts they send. They wouldn't have been long enough anyway to pinch the rim of the wheel wheel and still be far enough in to line up with the holes. I just drilled smaller holes and self tapped the screws in. I also added some automotive 3m trim tape to help hold them in place. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put some ppf film behind them to protect the paint. I assume OEM ones would come with that, the ebay ones didn't.

Please post a link to ones on eBay that fit an MSport. What about the ones on Amazon that come from China? Thanks.

Found a set on Amazon for $49.99. They are Prime so I can return them if they don't fit or are not nice looking.
A-Premium Splash Guards Mud Flaps Mud Guards Front Rear Replacement for BMW X5 G05 2019-2020 Pack of 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SRS956V...V0DMBRHP99K6KM I received the splash guards yesterday and installed them this afternoon. They are pretty well designed and fit my MSport perfectly. They use several of the existing screws and you install several additional screws that are included. There were no instructions but it is easy to figure out the install. Last edited by rmorin1249; 10-13-2021 at 05:17 PM.. |

That same company on Amazon has both M specific mudflaps, and non-M. The non-M version is less expensive. I just ordered a set...I'll see how well they fit. Due 8 January.

I posted the installation a few weeks ago. I am quite happy with the end results. Rocker panel is always clean now.

I was trying to avoid the drilling and skip those screws, but I don't think it's secured enough without them. |

Any new options for mud flaps since 2021? I have a black sapphire metallic and looking for flaps that are black black, and not grayish. New G05 owner and my god does this car get filthy.

Carbon Guards has a set. They sent me pics mounted on X5M. I asked if they have pics on typical X5 and they said no, but they said that the guards were test fit on typical X5 and they fit. If you buy them, post some pics

You had to pre-drill holes for the extra screws? Or just drill the screws into the plastic trim? I bought a set but now now just thinking if I want to do it or not. My other car has a splash guard I just adhered to the trim with 3m tape.

You have to drill 1 hole in the fender flare trims and 1 hole in the rocker panel trim in order for the screws to attach to the trims. Or just screw in with the self-tapping screws that came with it. I pre-drilled a small hole just to make sure I had the proper alignment and gaps are tight around the edges. 3M tapes may work. I just didn't explore the option and went with the screws. |
