X5 40i xdrive

Is there no longer an option to add air suspension to an X5 40i xdrive? I am looking to upgrade ride quality from my 540i and thought you could add this option on an X5? I was hoping to be able to order an X5 vs. stepping up into an X7 or 740i given current prices.

Please let me know what I am missing on the build page, or if I have to do this a different way outside of the tool?

Air suspension is not available on the 40i.

Air suspension was removed from all X5’s except for the 45e due to supply issues. Hopefully we see it come back some time next year.

So it is only available on the M50i, but then it is sport tuned and no longer comfort oriented air suspension, right?

No, it is not available on the M50i. There was no difference between the tuning of the air suspension between the 40i and M50i.

gymratmatt If you’re willing to sacrifice some storage and rear visibility, air suspension is offered on the X6.

I think it has been pulled from the X6 also, at least it doesn't show on the Configurator anymore.

Glad I was able to get the air suspension on my 2023 X6.
