Delivery by end of March cutoff date

Does anyone know what’s the latest a 45e can be ordered and delivered by the end of March. Reason for the hard cutoff date is around the availability of the tax credit which may change at the end of March because of battery sourcing issues.

I'd say try to find an open allocation and snap it up right now. Depending on where you live, it can take up to a month to get to you, even in CONUS (west coast, for example).

Your location says SC so it is likely as long as yours is built by third week in March or so you will make it. Obviously you don't want to cut it that close if you don't have to. There may be a few allocations left out there but you are probably looking at trying to get one that will be issued at the end of Jan/early Feb.

It would be best to start taking to dealers now to get on their waitlist for an allocation. Good luck.

Thanks. Trying to walk the line of knowing if the 24 is a significant enough improvement and making the cutoff. Supposed announcement is early February so I know I'd be cutting it close. Tax credit is not necessarily a factor but I do hate tossing money away.

Other than pricing, what other information do you need to know on the 50e?

Is the 50e improvements worth the wait? Rather lose the credit than regret the decision later.

The charging will increase to 7.4kW, the electric hp to 200hp and the range should be similar with likely a small increase.

Many folks purposely did not wait because they don't like the changes with iD8, no buttons, interior, etc.

It really would be a personal choice as to whether it is worth it or not.

Being in IT I get nervous about v1.0 of anything. Hard decision. I need to try an x7 one more time figuring it’s almost a year in production. Primary use case is long distance travel between SC/NJ/NH as flying sucks. I have something to use locally for short trips.

Also, it most certainly will not qualify for the credit. Along with a price increase (which in Europe has been fairly significant, ~7000 euros), you are looking at $15k effective increase in price for the 50e vs 45e.

Yes, that is why he asked the question. I think the US increase will be be $3-5k, we should know in a few weeks.

For a rough timing reference we ordered our 45e on 11/14/2022 with a December allocation and took deliver on 1/21/2023.
