We took delivery of our X5 45e on Feb 9. It had a touchscreen, trailer hitch, the touch dial, etc. No deletes.

Sounds like your dealer was clueless. The touchscreen delete was only for like 2 weeks, and that was months ago.

picking up on Tuesday, 2/15. No deletes. came with hitch and spare tire, too.

I would really be pissed if he really doesn't know what's going on. I was so excited for ordering a new one after purchasing 1-2 years old certified ones.

He had told me that he was going to check and call me back. He told me that I had no touchscreen in production order.
I'll check with another dealer then...

update:
today I was at another dealer to upgrade the software of my 2017 X5 for gsm compatibility.
I talked to the sales rep regarding this issue and he called the guy who submits the orders and knows all the details.
He also confirmed that it was an issue for a short period of time. There is no problem with touchscreen. Also they have allocation ready for next week. Tomorrow I will make my order at this dealer.

This is such a nice forum that no question remains unresolved nor unanswered.
