I ordered the X6 M50i, can't wait however they don't give me a delivery date, waiting for 4 weeks...
I had the M850i for a week just to feel the engine that will be the same in the X6 M50i. I was impressed… a real monster and the exhaust note is fantastic. I tried also the X5 50i and I was not impressed at all, felt bouncy and not powerful nor sporty. How does your X5 M50i sound? Same like the M850i I hope? |

The exterior color and blacked out kidneys camouflage the enormousness of the grilles very nicely.

Suspension set up - air or springs?
Am loving the black front grill.... you mention the suspension being good. Is it on springs or air?
I have air as it was mandatory for the seven seat option here but absolutely hate it... even in extra sport mode. Am hoping someone like Hamann will do a mod otherwise will definitely change for something like the Audi sq8 that has active air suspension apparently. Or Perhaps the petrol 50i already has improved air suspension? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers |

Love the new Tesla-esque instrument cluster. I wonder if this is something the 19s will get in an update?

x7 doesn't have an active sway bar, if it does they don't list it. The X7 with DHP does get active road preview which might be better for a smoother ride, no idea how it corners with it. Maybe there is an active sway bar but it's not stated?

Xfive... how does the M50i drive w/o DHP (specifically ARS) in corners? Does it still feel like it "sways"? Now I'm on the fence about getting it (it's a $5500 option in Canada).
If I'm spending what I'm spending on this car... I want to make sure I don't have regrets.

I had a X7 40i M Sport with DHP for a weekend and was extremely impressed how well it handled given that it has 2-axle air with ARS and IAS. There was minimal lean for its size - there was slight lean but imperceptible for most drivers. I couldn't perceive or notice how well Road Preview worked or influenced the ride. Straight-line ride was amazing and smooth over mixed pavement.
I was impressed to the point purchasing that one but they weren't discounting and in the end it's a big vehicle for just one person - though the two Bullies would have enjoyed the rear captain chairs.
