Got mine in as well and did the install today. Piece was exact match and front camera slot and tabs were perfect fit. Quick and easy install.

I just got the black grill (2023 X5 45e) from Optimal on Amazon. Easy install but it came with a bag of what appears to be black strips to stick on somewhere.... not sure where or why....diagram is vague and the grill looks fine as-is.
Cannot find them online nor any email on Amazon so I posted a question there too.
Thoughts?

If they are strips, i would assume they would go on the shutters for those that have the chrom stripe shutters. See pix from someone a few posts up and you will see what I am talking about.

These all look great! I'm taking delivery of my 2023 X545E in the next week or so. It has the M Sport package on it, and because of another dealer's youtube video, I assumed the grill was going to be black. I understand now that it won't be.

There's no 2023 factory black replacement listed yet, anyone know if it really is different, or just hasn't been updated yet?

Nope, you needed to add the extended shadowline package. the grill is the same for the 2023 as other years

The black grill makes the car look 100% better.. I did the same on mine within a month of getting my X5. Only other thing I want to do is fill or plug the holes left over from the license plate bracket.
