LCI M60i front grille M badge

Has anyone tried to swap it with a black one to make the M badge on the front less noticeable?
I don't consider myself a M power purist, but I really can't stand the M badge on the grille.
I have M sport pro package on my car, so my grille is black which makes the chrome M badge stands out even more.

How about a little DIY with "Krylon K01607000 High Heat Max, Black, Gloss, 12 ounce". Remove badge, apply paint, put badge back.

I actually found someone selling blacked out M badges in different sizes on Etsy.
Before I do anything stupid trying to yank off the badge myself and possibly causing damage to my car, I just wanna know if it's possible to remove the badge on the front like how you remove one on the rear side.

I would contact iND to see if they have anything specific coming out. I'm sure they will eventually have an OEM black painted product and have instructions to properly remove/install the badge. Great customer service to boot.

According to IND its extremely difficult.

I also want to do this.

At this point, Im afraid what Im gonna have to do is tape off the entire front end and just paint it myself.

I dont know what idiot at BMW thought it was a good idea to have chrome badges on a blacked out M Sport pack, but hes not the brightest crayon in the box.

I agree. I’ve already swapped out my other emblems to black and I’m annoyed at Bmw for the chrome front badge. 😔

I found an X7 that has a black M logo on the grill I check the size and it’s the same size that the X5. I contacted the company but they just said it was an OEM BMW part which I’ve checked extensively and I don’t believe this is true and they also didn’t provide a part number. Here’s the link to the instagram profile https://instagram.com/lartedesign?ig...RlODBiNWFlZA==

Has someone seen an M badge like this and where we might be able to purchase it?

A and L Auto (IND's affiliated body shop) took my emblem off the plastic piece and painted it gloss black. Said they took it off with braided fishing line. Looks good, like the photo above.
