If you’re interested in a so cal dealer PM me and I can recommend some dealers who will likely do 8-8.5% off MSRP.
hey can you direct me in SOCAL where i can get 8-8.5% off MSRP?

I don’t think it’s possible now. I called up and down entire west coast. Best deal I found was 3%. I even called brokers

Anything is possible but unlikely. Besides the low inventory/high demand, historically many dealers have given less discounts for previous MY vehicles than for ordering new MY ones.

i'd say not possible, If i ran the dealership, i know that within a month i'd have a buyer for even a 2021 car @ MSRP. Give someone a good faith discount of $500-1000 and its sold within a week.

3.5% is the best deal I found in CA, even contacting all the known "internet-only" sales guys.

Depends on the build, generally about 93% - 95% of MSRP.

I believe they are still using the calculations they switched to in 2017:

BMW US Invoice Pricing calculation
Base vehicle US MSRP (from pricing sheets) multiplied by 0.93
+ MACO fee $500.00 (flat rate applied to all dealers)
= Base vehicle US BMW invoice price

To figure the invoice price of your BMW as configured add -
+ Option and packages (anything you can add to the vehicle) multiplied by 0.92
+ Training fee of $180.00
+ Destination and handling charge - Currently $995
= Total vehicle invoice price +/- $10.00

Close to the same here. I’m in the DC area and got 8% off on a 2022 X5 M50i on a late July order. This is pre-loyalty or any other incentives. I thought I might get 4-5% off at best and was expecting to hear that I had to pay MSRP. One dealer quoted me 3% and the other 8%. I basically did everything with the second dealer in less than 5 minutes sans sending them my deposit and signing the invoice. I have my production number and am looking at a week 37 delivery. Honestly, this was the easiest I’ve ever bought a car and I was truly shocked that it happened now. Go figure.

FWIW, if you follow the AskCarSales sub on Reddit (where salesmen talk), it seems that the buying bonanza may be slowing. That could mean dealers more willing to deal especially when inventory gets back to a more reasonable level.

Mercedes Benz has basically cancelled production of their v8 models for 2022. At least in the U.S.

Audi is 6-7 months wait on their v8 SUV's.

I expect this will put a little extra demand pressure on BMW's with v8's, which doesn't bode well for discounts popping up anytime soon. Get them while you can.

What dealer was this, and can you refer me to your sales rep? I’m in the DMV area myself. Thank you for sharing!

That should be easily doable now. Many lease brokers are doing 4-5% now alone, I got 7% before incentives in mid-July back when the brokers were still at MSRP and 22 orders hadn't even opened yet.

Are these % off of MSRP calculated AFTER adding all the options? So, base msrp + price of all options = total price. 2% off would be off of the total price.
