I bought BMW G05 LCI x40d with system iDrive 8.5 on 13th of December 2023 with every single package included.
When they presented me the car it had the game “Ryder cup”. After an update of the software until 11/2023.42, because of the BMW campaign which has came out on 14th of December 2023, I found out that the game is not there anymore.
Also there isn’t carring car - Relax and Vitalize. I’m sure that this option is on the models before the facelift.

Ryder cup app was something offered during the event and some period afterwards for a limited time. It was never always going to be available. Connected drive apps being available has nothing to do with the current version of vehicle software. These are provisioned by BMW connected services.

I have a BMW recently. What exactly is the problem?
My car is still new and it smells more of leather than air freshener.
I've noticed that the fill rates are going down - so it's working.
The ambient temperature here is below freezing, if that matters. Also, the fan is always at the lowest speed.
Tell me exactly what I need to test and I will write you.

I will check with the dealer because it is not there in Connected drive apps either.
Does anyone know if the 2024 facelift of the x5 is without Relax and Vitalize

since the update to 8.5, the scenting (ambient air) no longer works. apparently the ionizer and the scenting have the same address.

Got the 11/2023.42 installed today OTA with release notes in mybmw app

Some of the upgrades/fixes are:

• Welcome light animation add-on available in the connected drive store
• The ambient air function is now working
• It’s now possible to transfer data from drive recorder to my BMW app
• Option to set lights behavior individually when locking and unlocking the car
• Some bug fixes with no further information

Received the OTA update yesterday as well and installed it soon after receiving it. So far no issues to report. I was nervous thinking maybe there would be an issue with installation but thankfully everything went smoothly.
