Entering Assembly Line!

Just moved from Production Begins to Entering Assembly Line today! Typically, how long from this point will it take for the car to be ready and delivered? I’m very close to Spartanburg.

If all goes well with production, your X5 should be ready to transport in 3 days. Once handed over to transport carrier should be 7-10 days to east coast dealer, assuming there's no hold ups.

I bet it's at the dealership next week, if not this weekend. It will take up to 36 hours for the car to jump from entering assembly line to finished production. Then if it clears QA/QC fine it's just a matter of lining up the truck to take it to the dealership.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! Most likely this weekend or early next week. Thanks guys.

Wouldn't be surprised to see it at your dealer this weekend if you're in GA (which I think you are). Allow a couple of days for your dealer to do the prep work.

Depends on your build week. The production begins status is a bit of a misleading indicator. Many people would assume that's when your car is physically being assembled, but in reality they're just sourcing all the parts, etc.

I was in production begins for a few weeks, but I've seen others go from production begins to entering assembly line within days.

Your best bet is to call the Genius line and ask a rep what your build week is, or production day, if the have it. Your car will enter the assembly line approx 48 hours before that day.

Your X5 goes by rail to VPC where it's quality checked and monroney sticker added. From there it's dispatched to trucking company to be picked up for delivery to your dealer. It'll be a few more days for sure.

I have an X3 and from the day it showed awaiting carrier it took a week to show up at dealer in FL. Obviously timing can be different based on many variables. Regardless, you'll have it soon.

Garage List
Your car isn't far behind ours. Our X5 was dispatched from factory on Monday and today it's showing "at the port"

So that means you could probably pick her up Friday or Saturday, right?

He said I could pick her up today if I wanted to. Unfortunately, my wife is out of town until Friday night for work so we are going Saturday morning.

I’ve seen quite some of these screenshots around but my dealer doesn’t know which site it is and where you can track the status yourself.

Can you give me some pointers so I can tell him?

Thanks!

It's US only. There used to be Track & Trace with WWL (Wallenius Wilhelmsen) for CA and currently there's are no tracking for other markets.

Did you end up picking up your car? I noticed you're in Seattle. I'm in Los Angeles. How long did it take from the time your status was "At The Port" until it arrived at your dealership?
