2022 X5 xdrive40i exhaust covers

Hey

I have stock 2022 x5 xdrive40i. Non M package

I'm trying to black out the exhaust covers, but since its leased, I'm not sure which route to go.

I cant find any covers made for the stock x5.

What should I Do?

Thanks

Perhaps vinyl wrap would be the ideal way to go. Cant imagine it costing too much to wrap those due to their size, or attempt it yourself. Plastidip may be another route because it is removable at end of lease if anything, but I am sure you'd be able to just leave it since it woudl still make the car look better with the black accent.

Is this what you're looking for? If so they're inexpensive and can be found on eBay. So easily found I don't think it's necessary to add a link. Good luck!

I plastidiped (diffuser too) mine. I'm not a fan of dual exhaust cover knowing that I have the 40i but am looking for dual exhaust option (still searching). Is more of personally preference.

I like to platidip my car……..bit of a DIY person here.

The last two posts show M-Sport bumpers. OP was looking for ideas for Non-M-Sport bumpers

I’m about to plasti dip mine.

Did you take off the exhaust trim?

Or just tape it all up and plasti dip

Thanks

I didn't take mine off, stuff the news paper to cover the exhaust pipe inside and tape around the exhaust trim.

I made the mistake of not getting the shadowline trim and had a local shop vinyl wrap the entire vehicle including the exhaust covers for just a few hundred bucks just under 3 years ago and it all still looks perfect like I just had it done.

Would love to see pics of the plastidip route on the covers if you finished them. I am also having trouble finding the stock covers. May end up wrapping the covers and rear diffuser.

Has anyone that wrapped chrome had trouble with matching the gloss black on the part you are able to find and replace?
