Had all badges removed on my 45e when my expel was installed.
Replacing the X5 rear trunk lid with gloss black from IND.

Anyone seen the 45e in gloss black? Id put it on if I could find one, but Ill just go de-badged on the right side of trunk lid, if not... Thanks.

I have both X5 and 45e badges from IND on my 45e, they are not cheap thou.

I took all of my badges off and had them painted when I did my PPF. Had a local shop paint and cure it (with clearcoat) for far cheaper than what IND charges.

I'll take pics and post it for your reference.

I got the gloss black badges from IND and it seems they don't strip the chrome off first, just paint over it. I found a couple chrome spots immediately popped up on the edges during install. I thought these were going to more durable.

I would have just stripped the chrome off the original badges, used self etching primer and painted them myself if I had known that. Now I will probably get to do that anyway. lol

I'm pretty sure oven cleaner strips the chrome crap off of plastic, that's what we used to do with plastic model kits when I was a kid.
