Question, what will the motorway assist be. The current traffic jam assist with a higher max speed, or will it be something all new?

Latest G05 X5 LCI / G06 X6 LCI info (from future models thread):
  • LCI Production Dates: 4/2023 - 7/2026
  • Models likely almost the same as now, with X6 sDrive40i dropped at least in the US.
  • Refreshed B58 engine (B58 TÜ2)
    • B58 TÜ2 details: 375hp in all currently known applications (G05, G06, G07, G70). The extra power in the M level engine (B58B30M2) comes from a completely reworked intake manifold and a larger turbo. The two port exhaust manifold of the M1 remains in place. Notably (this is my own info again), there are still no traces of the O2 engine - could it be because the O level is being phased out with M level's output now being almost equal?
  • M package becomes standard on X6
  • Ambient Air and Acoustic Glazing will be available
  • X5 will have the illuminated grill like X6 does now
  • Next level driver assist package ("Motorway Assistant")

Can't make out the difference, looks like it's going to be negligible this time.

I hope they make the X5M ride comfort better, it was the reason I didn't go for it v M5.

Usually, the headlights and taillights get updated as with the bumper, but I honestly can’t see any difference, especially the rear taillights, which look identical to the existing model.

If they decide to increase this, it will be incremental, not revolutionary.

The current iX (and i4?) has their latest cell tech. If I remember correctly, these are a 5%-10% more dense/powerful over the ones in the 45e. My guess: that is the maximum battery increase we can dream of.

My wishes for the 45e LCI are:
* at least 7kW charging
* stronger electric motors. I find electric mode a bit under powered.
* significant increase of battery size (will not happen, I think)

Maybe it’s due to the chip shortage! LOL.

They're going to manufacture MY 2023 models for 2 1/2 months until they start producing 2024's ?
It's MY24 and will start production a couple months earlier than usual.

Probably look pretty much like a scaled up version of the G01 LCI.

BMW G05 X5 - pre LCI or post LCI -remains the best vehicle in its class. The sales statistics tell the story.

As a current G05 owner, glad to see changes won't be material. Would rather not be tempted to upgrade.

8/2026 per the first post. Probably unveiled several months prior to that. Happy that this generation will have a long cycle. Personally it's my favorite current BMW design.

Agreed, current X5 design is awesome. But I think BMW can get into a more sexier design like Genesis G80 or G70 to stay within the competing market.

Ohhhhhh....ok, that makes sense.

That would be an 8-month production window for MY 2023 then (7/22-3/23).

That would mean they've offered the same X5 body for 5 model years....

That's an unusually long run in a modern BMW before an lci.

Thanks njnets...

I think this test mule also have the updated dash?
I don't think I see back of my steering wheel that much through the windshield. Also there is no bump for the dash.

IMO, looks worse than our current pre-lci. It looses its brutality with this “updated “ design. Hopefully, it will look way better in real
