Hi all,

I have been the happy owner of a BMW X5 50e for 2 days now. This is my second X5; prior to this, I owned a BMW X5 45e. I also have a new navigation system in this car, and it consistently displays charging points on the map, which is very annoying as it clutters the map. It now appears that you cannot turn this feature off or deactivate it, and the BMW Netherlands team does not know how to do so either.

Does anyone here know how to resolve this issue? For me, this is truly a showstopper, and if a solution cannot be found, I will consider exchanging the car for another one.

There (used to be) an iDrive setting for your display preferences...I'd be surprised if it's not in there somewhere. have you searched the manual?

Or, simply try using the voice commands to see if you can turn that off.

I checked everything thoroughly, went through the manual, and it seems there's no way to turn this off. I thought the option would be with selecting Points of Interest (POIs), like gas stations or restaurants. However, it's just not available in the menu.

Is this what you tried?

Press the MAP button on the Controller.
Tilt the Controller to the right.
"Settings"
"Map"
"Points of interest on the map"
Select the desired setting.
The display in the toolbar of the map view can be switched on and off.
