Installed my front camera today. Picked up power from front fuse box F27 constant and F72 switched. Both were unused in mine. F72 is one of several for usb power, I don't have the travel and comfort pack so guess that might be why it is unused.
Rear camera tomorrow. This is just one cable linking to the front camera. I installed previously in my F15 and G05 trim is very similar so hoping it will be straightforward |

Is this thread, here is what I faced: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...6&postcount=23 "I called my dealer's electronic shop and they recommended the Blackvue 900: https://www.blackvue.com/dr900s-2ch/ "With a 64 card, the online price is $540 + installation fee of $150-250. Is the 750 adequate for someone who does not expect to post videos online?"

I reconnect my blackvue magic pro wire today with f27 battery which is empty slot(mini fuse tap) and f76 for acc aslo Emory slot (standard fuse tap). If you plan to used f27 and f76 you need to have extra fuse. There no need to take off the right panel. Super fast and simple way.

I had a well-reviewed car stereo installer put in my dash cam. Mine is a Viofo A129 front and rear cam.
Excuse my lack of correct terms, but he hooked the wire that needs constant power via fuse tap to the blower wire under the passenger dash. He hooked the wire that turns off when the car is off to the cigarette lighter thingy in the center console. He ran the wires to the front camera and the rear camera and the installation is perfect. No wires show. I don't know enought about it to know if his attaching via fuse tap to the blower wire is a good approach or not. He has many good reviews and he assures me that it's a good way to do it. The cameras works great, both front and rear. Very clear. I can read license plates easily. |

It was Byron, the owner of Seismic Autosound in Concord, CA. He charged me $260 including both front and back cameras. I'd recommend him to anyone in the SF Bay Area. Check his reviews out on Yelp. Pretty impressive comments from his customers. |

Do you mean the Magic ez worked after the 3rd go? Is it now working stable - would also be interested in this “easy” power solution.

One more question, is there a convenient place for the ground wire next to the fuse box. I am a little nervous removing the trim panels. I tried to remove the right tear panel that contains the rear speaker, but no luck. I used a trim removal tool, but was afraid I was about to break the panel. It just wouldn't let go. I was prying between the panel and the rubber gasket for the rear cargo door.. |
