Just adding my data point to the thread. I dropped off my car for the .35 cornering lights update. Dealer kept it overnight to make sure everything worked. My SA confirmed the cornering lights worked after the update.
I went to pick my car up yesterday after work and while reacclimating all the widgets on the home pages, I had no real time traffic, no weather, no way to see what software version it's on, and all the apps were gone in the apps page on iDrive (except BMW assist). I tried resetting iDrive, nothing worked. The dealer has to keep the car for another day or so to reprogram everything. My SA was on the phone with BMW the entire time and he said they told him everything showed up as functional on their end via Connected Drive. |

Just adding my data point here...
I've gotta say... after my 10 hour update session last Thursday the car has been so much better. Software version after service is 03/2019.35. 1. BC Button / HUD / Instrument Cluster Issue - I used to experience this every other time I'd start the car. It hasn't happened since. 2. Cornering lights now work. Hopefully eventually they'll come on with the turn signals, but getting them working in any capacity is a win. 3. Driver Assistance / Lane Keep Assist - WOW! Just did 300 miles and I think they fixed it. Usually the car would try to veer off about 1/2 a dozen times on this route due to all the construction and shit lane lines in a lot of areas. It also never lost its lane, even in shit conditions. When I engaged the driver assistance it kept the lane extremely well. Much better than before. The lane keep assist would gently nudge me back into the lane on a couple of occasions. It wasn't aggressive. 4. Crash avoidance - If it didn't work before, it works now. 2 occasions I got a multi beep alert, red car icon on a few others, and when I hit the brakes on one occasion with an audible alert it was full force braking immediately. I will say that even though the service bulletin and software was released, my dealer (shop foreman and SA) decided to keep the IRAP session with BMW and they worked remotely to apply the fixes. They had my list of above issues and other annoyances and stepped through all of them with the BMW engineer. Love my SA. They did a fantastic job. Love this car, too. It was fun and when I needed it, it assisted with the drive. Really takes the stress out. Looking forward to the drive home! |

I'm on 03/2019.37 and the only issues so far are my comfort access is very finicky, and the news app doesn't connect sometimes. Everything else is fine and cornering lights work

@mnewnam I asked my SA to do IRAP but they decided not to do so. When I talked to a Master Mechanic at BMW NA via BMW Assist, he said they should at least submit a PUMA case.

However, you were correct that when I manually adjusted the passenger temp that the sync option was de-selected. Thank you.

I have an older software version and can check and uncheck "sync" manually, but don't know why I ever would sync from the driver's seat. I don't see it as a big problem if it now operates the way yours does (where you can't un-sync) though as long as all zones can work independently and be synced after everybody leaves. I'd be okay with that, it's just different.

How did you get your SA to upgrade you to 03/2019.37? Does anyone in Canada have a version more recent than 11/2018.68? |

I had a couple of issues in the first 50 mins of driving it but it seems everyone of those issues has now disappeared. I also had a notification that would not go away until I rebooted the iDrive. So at the moment I have no issues. I guess the only thing we would be missing are the Cornering Lights which I haven't gone out to see if they are functional.

How long did it take for them to do the upgrade?

Can anyone confirm if the temperature-activated heated seats and/or steering wheel feature is available in 03/2019.3x? The 2019 X3 loaner I drove last week has this feature.
If you are not sure what I'm referring to, go to 8:19 of this 2019 3 series review: |

edit: just checked, no option to enable at X temp still. I wonder why BMW has this on lesser vehicles but not their X5 which has always been the most popular
