Laser Anti-Dazzle?

Any update? I am tempted to wait on a software update if NHTSA is going to act such that the laser lights can be fully enabled. Anyone have an insight as to where this issue stands?

no on knows. last I checked on their site for the rule it was still undecided

It’s the government, it could be years without any pushing from influential powers to push this through.

BMW and other manufacturers sure spent a lot of time and money on this technology. It's a shame it isn't being fully utilized.

I think they know something we don't. Audi and BMW went out of their way to include headlights that don't meet US DOT spec without changes in the US. There's probably a good reason meaning they know something we don't. Audi even said theirs will ever enabled soon / when approved

Maybe the bureaucrats will finally do something. Sure would be nice to take advantage of the technology that BMW designed into our vehicles.
