Agreed it’s different than years ago but depending on the car it can even out. Remember, when rates were low I was getting 0% on my cash. Now I am getting 5.3% on my cash. I had substantial equity on my last 3 leases which in one case effectively cut my monthly by 50% whereas my first 15 or so leases were even at best but usually had negative equity.

Seems absurd.
It is absurd. A $140K loan for six years at 7% is less expensive. Obvious they don't want to lease these cars right now. Buy a CPO for $95K and you will save a ridiculous amount of money.

.00250 = 6% (high but 1% makes a difference)

I still got about 7mo left on my current lease. But figured if the right deal popped up I’d do it for sure early

I would push for more since its pre LCI. Anyone dropping 125K+ on a car is going to want the latest and greatest 2024 at this point.

I'm going to go look at a 24 X5M, what kind of discount would you folks think is possible considering how close 25s are to crossing the pond?

Edit: I'm in the Seattle area.

Not sure about your area, but in tri-state NY/NJ area ….
MSRP or 1K off msrp if you talk to a sales manager … with a broker it is 3-4% if they are able to get a allocation which is limited

Got 3% off MSRP on a '24 X5MC over the weekend that was at the dealer since end of January. Was planning on ordering a '25 but decided not to after seeing the MSRP creep up another $2500 over the existing model. Didn't wanna wait for an allocation so we grabbed the '24.

Good luck with your purchase

In Seattle as well. Only dealer that has one is Bellevue and don’t expect much of a discount there. Plus they don’t come across the pond, They are built in South Carolina.

Yeah, I've been over at Porsche for a while and I'm used to the boat ride thing. I'm aware they're built here but I'm also old and pathetic.

Edit: I've bought at Bellevue before, they've not been the greatest to work with in the past but they had one my wife wanted and I like to see her naked, and well, I totally caved. That was an E60, huge problems with that thing and I went over to Porsche. In any event I was there today and right now they showed no inclination to deal unless you want an EV, they're all about an alleged "big discount" on one of those.

Gotta think about it; patience is a virtue but I'm not a virtuous man.

Rather than going for a discount I got them to add a tidbit to my trade in value, it would be equal to a bit less than 2 percent. So weak on the haggling.

I got the military 4k, probably not news to anyone, but just in case, it's now up to as much as 5k, but not sure where/who the 5k applies.

Or Lynnwood for that matter. But... Bellevue had the car I wanted, I do mean exact options, and there are not many on the ground around here. Considering the weak discounts I'm reading about, I'm not unhappy.

I needed to move based on other timing issues and the car is what I wanted. A better outcome for me than a small discount and getting a car that wasn't exactly what I wanted. I'm picky.
