F95 Comp Ride vs F85--Need a Comparison

The new X5M Competition seems to be developing a little bit of a reputation as a rough rider. I've seen comparisons with the GLE63s but haven't seen anything comparing the F95 to the previous model. As a current F85 owner who has an order in for the F95, I'm wondering if anyone who has driven both the F85 and the new F95 has any insight into the difference in the ride when set to comfort. Thanks.

No one has driven an F95 X5 M yet I believe. Pretty sure they haven't arrived at dealers yet.

I know the regular production run hasn't started yet, but there's a few X5Ms out there getting evaluated by the press. I guess I was hoping someone who has driven one of them and a F85 had some thoughts.

I highly doubt it would get stiffer than the F85.

F85 isn't that stiff of a ride, as it depends on the road conditions.

I haven't driven the F85 in a few months, but to my recollection it was the stiffer car. Just got done driving the F95 Comp. (and have driven it a couple times now) and I can tell you that in the comfort chassis setting the car is plenty comfortable. Not as comfortable as the M50i of course, but definitely still a good daily driver.

Really good to hear this feedback. It was really my only concern when placing my order. Thanks for sharing.

No problem. I drove it both on smooth and bumpy roads, both in the drivers seat and passenger and I thought it was an insanely fast...yet comfortable car (throttle was on sport plus and chassis on comfort).

OK, I'm here to answer my own question. Somehow I'm driving a new X5M right now I can say this about the way it drives. I think it is a little rougher due to the rear low profile tires (which must enhance performance?). I think the steering on the HW is too quick and bothersome. Working on getting used to it. Overall, she's just a beast. I'm all in!

Lol, that’s awesome! Honestly, coming out of a 2017 911 turbo I’m fine with a very firm, but compliant ride. I just don’t want it to be jarring...doesn’t sound like it is. Enjoy and stay safe.
