Did you pick it up?? Share some photos of the new ride.
Yes, picked up yesterday and enjoying thus far. Stopped by detail shop to pick up supplies to clean next week (forecast in 60's) and by local BMW dealer to get cargo mat. Still acclimating to controls and loading in my driving preferences. Wife loves glass controls, trim (which she picked out), leather dash and massaging seats. Perhaps photos after all cleaned up.
Congrats!!

I'm so glad we went with the glass control also, absolutely love the way it looks.

I'm still trying to get myself used to the start/stop button being by the gear knob. I keep reaching over by the steering wheel.

+1 for the glass controls...looks sooo nice. Funny you say that you keep reaching by the wheel as I’m doing the same. Also still getting used to hitting the park button on the knob as my last car didn’t have that.

Haven't picked up our car yet, but I am already regretting not getting these three things by reading everyone's posts: (1) glass controls, (2) matte poplar trim (I got fineline instead), and (3) luggage compartment package.

Cannot comment on glass controls as it’s a bit too glitzy for my taste. However, you made the right choice not going with the luggage package. Yes, it’s “cool”, but it makes extricating the spare a real PITA and it negates a rear mat, if you’re one that uses that. You can have mine!
The one item you mentioned that IS a keeper.is the poplar trim...pretty classy.

If I was doing it all over again, I think I would have gone with the metallic ash wood grain or poplar matte. Fineline looks great but I'll probably get annoyed with the smudges eventually. that's the only regret I have, if I had to pick.

I passed on the luggage compartment too. My dealer showed me a demo of it in a stock car and i felt it was just unnecessary automation at the expense of removing some features.

One thing I missed is the spare wheel. But there are some alternatives so that should be okay.

By the way on my call today with the 1844 genius person, they told me that they are ahead of schedule since the holiday surge is behind them and it's getting normal.
I just ignoring it for now. Don't want to raise my expectations.

Yeah that's exactly my concern. I got Cognac interior, so I know fineline will look great with it, but worried about fingerprints, scratches, etc. Though I recall reading somewhere the poplar matte also scratches easily. Not sure if that's true or if it was just a one-off.

I also didn't get the spare, but not sure why anyone would with RFT? It just takes up space in that nice compartment under the cargo flap (which we actually use quite often for storage).

So, I am going with the 21" Perf RF staggered setup. It will be all fine and great during summers. In winters I was hoping to find A/S RF for my staggered setup. Looks like I have to settle with just A/S. That is where the spare comes in.

Here's my build:

2020 X5 sDrive40i
Arctic Grey Metallic
Black Vernasca Leather with Brown contrast stitching
M Sport Pkg
Premium Pkg
Extended Shadowline Trim
Icon Adaptive LED w/Laserlight

Shows "at the port" at the moment
Wonder how long it'll take to Hawaii. Does anyone know if I can track while being trucked to Cali? or on the ship to Hawaii? by VIN#?

Ah makes sense. I plan on just using the Pirelli PRF's that will likely come with my 21's. I'm in Los Angeles so I likely won't have an issue or a need to switch to non-RF tires such that I would need a spare. Fairly inexpensive option to add though — sounds like a no brainer for whoever needs it.

Congrats! Post a few pictures when you can.
Thank you!

I got a few pics in from the dealership and on my way home. Kind of sad that I couldn't keep the car clean, it's snowing here in Chicago.
Few more on my way home
Looking real good (I have same exact exterior look, mine was delivered to dealership last week but I'm holding off delivery to February to avoid driving those 22s this winter season).
Did you pick up your car??

I entered this thread expecting to see photos of you wearing a helmet in the driver's seat.
