M License Plate Frame - But not an M car
Here's a controversial question:
Is it ok to put this license plate frame on a 2019 BMW X5 x40i M Sport? https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...SABEgJNj_D_BwE |

I mean yes and no depending on who you ask. I have the same frame but don't use it. I had it on my X3 M40i prior to the X5. I'm using the slim BMW black frame right now

I prefer just a nice simple straight black surround frame.
Too many M logos on a non-true M car. I do have one of those plates on my M3.

It's your car, do whatever you like. Unless they helped to pay for the vehicle, what do you care what others think?

I dont see why not, you did purchase a msport, it might be weird if you placed m-performance accessories on the car.
why would you care what others think, well... unless your planning to put the BMW logo on a toyota. I think that a bit of a reach |

Some of the X5 M Sports come with factory M badging on the front quarter. They have "M" on the wheels, calipers, door sills, and steering wheel. Go for it, it's an M Sport!

In short.... Yes.
An "MSport" car/SUV is fitted with parts created by the M Division... even if it isn't a "true M Car". The only "sacred" place on a BMW is the right side of the trunk. Don't "re-badge" your car as something it isn't. Don't try to change the model designation. But otherwise, yea, I don't see any problems with it. |

I would go with Black or Chrome slim line (BMW logo or plain) as AndroidRobot mentioned. It's beautiful and clean and most importantly DMV compliant . In NC by law your plate must be clearly visible.
