Some advice needed 50i - winter & summer tires from all seasons

Hey Everyone, hoping for a little help and your suggestions for new summer and winter tires for my '20 M50i. I currently have factory 20" 740M wheels with Bridgestone Alenza all season tires. I'm not overly impressed with their performance so far and reading the threads on here has convinced me to go with two sets of wheels!

My plan is to purchase 22" 742M wheels and put winter tires on the 20" 740Ms. I've narrowed the winter tires down to Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 and Pirelli Scorpion Winters - which would you go with?

What summer tires would you recommend for the new 742M rims? Would anyone bother with the Pirelli P Zero all season tires or just stick to summers?

Appreciate any insight, thank you

When given the choice, I prefer Michelin over Pirelli for both winter and summer. IMO, don't bother with an all season tire, get two setups like you are thinking. If there is room up front consider going 285/315 with Michelin 4S for the summer 742Ms. Where in NY are you? Let me know if you are interested in my black 742Ms after the winter...

Kief Thanks for the suggestion. I've been combing through the winter set up thread and saw lots of Michelin's, and will probably go that way.

I've already made a deal with another forum member for bi-colors 742s. If for some reason that falls through, I'll reach out. Thanks!

No worries. Let me know if you go 285 up front on those 742Ms, curious if they will fit.
