UK 45e discounts

Has anyone had much luck with discounts on the PHEV in the UK recently? Best I have found is a combined £9.5k dealer and BMW contribution for Q1.

I’d say that’s pretty good going. Seems they are trying really hard to not discount the X5 unless in stock which you won’t find with the 45e at the moment. Discounting got got out of hand with the F series and I think they are trying really hard to not repeat with the G05 as these days it’s one of the only vehicles where they can make some margin.

There are a few pre-reg vehicles on the BMW used site. It would be interesting to know what discount they'd do on those on on stock unregistered?

Thanks for the responses guys.

In case anyone happens upon this thread and wonders where the deal was, it was on the website of John Clark BMW in Aberdeen.

Wow thats very poor compared to a 30d.

I got Almost £14k on mine in September and the car has a lower base price by some £5k so almost £10k difference in total is a big big change on monthly payments.

Mines also on 2.9% apr.

Any reason why you are looking at a 45e? The above price difference negates any fuel saving no?

Had the same deal on mine -- combined all, including good price on my X3...
The 45e is tempting performance-wise, but when I speced one like my 30d, it was more like 8K more; that's a lot of money. Perhaps I'll look again in 3 years... If we can still import BMWs :-)

A slightly long story, but I test drive the 30d and didn't 100% get on with it, so bought a Discovery. Love the discovery but a couple of issues mean I am exploring options in the unlikely event of having to reject.

Had the B58 in my 440i, really enjoyed the PHEV experience in a RRS so if I moved to the X5 it would be for the PHEV. I suspect it would transform the refinement. Haven't driven one though, so it's based on lots of adding 2+2.

Agree that cracking deals are available on the 30d and on a pure cost basis the PHEV payback is slow.

Can only suggest to test drive the 30d again as it's a good all rounder particularly once it's got a few thousand miles under its belt. Acoustic glass also makes a difference.

John Clark is my regular dealer so if you need contacts let me know.
