Is this true?
First I heard of it. Are you maybe wanting a 50i in MSport? If so, that was dropped at the beginning of the model year.
They are not producing them at this point .... it is temporary stop at the factory.

Can someone confirm there's a stop in production for M-Sport models and why?
I'm hearing that there's no stop in production. Would like to get a definitive answer on this.

2019 is for the 2019 model year (19MY) which ended July 31, 2019. The 2020 model year (20MY) started August 1, 2019.

There is no stop in production for 40i MSports. Some have mentioned a stop for the M50i but not sure we have seen anything official regarding that.

I know my M50i finished production last Thursday. So it wasn't effected by the stop production, if there is one.

I personally don't believe there is one although quite a few members keep mentioning it. I'm trying to get confirmation one way or the other and will post if I do and hopefully one of the CA's that are on here will come in also.

I’ve heard the same thing from a couple of dealers. My dealer was able to order mine but said no M Sports are being made in a December and production for this is Jan at earliest.

Does anyone have the updated US Pricing and Order guides? According to the Build, Cognac Vernasca has returned (only available with Luxury Seating) and would like to see if there have been any other changes.

I noticed m50 doesn't allow 3rd row seating, but I dunno if that's always been the case or not.

Got to see the X7 50i Msport, the M850i convertible, a few individual pieces like a M3 CS Frozen Blue and my area rep happened to have one of only 17 currently produce X5 50i Msport models with almost all the options (no B&W), in carbon black with a white smoke color interior. I am just going to spout a bit about the night. The M850i I will defer to another post other than to say the center console and IP are amazing. The seats are great and the back seat is just as bad as my previous M6,

The X7 has huge rear doors, captains chairs in the middle and all the seat movement including folding are power. The materials are clearly better than the X5 and the carpet is softer and much more leather on everything including the rear hatch, the interior space sadly is not much larger than a X5 with the third row and when the third row is up, the space in the rear is essentially terrible, maybe 2-3 inches deeper than my old X5 with the third row. Its basically a X5.5 with much nicer materials and options.

The new X5 IP and electronics is great, the materials very similar to the current model. Startup is quiet and the V8 is quite muted. The start button is now in the center console. The IP is truly an upgrade and amazing, exactly the same as the M850i and the X7 ditto for the center screen and iDrive. The glass controls are nice and move the X5 more upscale. When he stops by my dealership I should get a chance to drive it. Interior space is basically identical to the previous model and the only notable difference is the lower hatch is now power like the X7. Appearance wise it is clean and chunkier in the rear, more square but it works. Definitely better looking than the X3 model in the back. Feel free to ask me questions, I have to cut this short since zi have early surgery in the am.

Peace,
Noushy
Some of the components of the BMW option Glass Controls (4A2) are now available from a third party as aftermarket accessories for the latest X5, X6 and X7. Search Amazon for "crystal iDrive" and you will find the iDrive upgrade kit.

Updated (as of 01/03/2020) G05 Ordering & Pricing Guides

Just starting to participate in Bimmerpost...I've been working on my order for a new X6, M50i, which has made be keen on the latest Ordering & Pricing Guides. I updated the X6 (G06) ones in another thread and thought I'd throw the latest for the X5 (G05) in here...they were updated as of 1/3/2020, with just some updated leather options:

- Pricing Guide: https://batxcr1.bmwcenternet.com/lib...ide_Retail.pdf

Just based on how a lot of people assumed that the US 40i would get DHP, and now people hearing from BMW NA that it will not, I'm just extrapolating that fact. Mostly conjecture on my part. I think that if the US was getting these leather options, the order guide would show the SOPs. Just like the 2019 did for Bowers & Wilkens, etc. It's almost the end of 2019, if the US were getting new leather options, even if it was April 2020, I'm sure dealers would know about it by now.
Just to circle back on this. The order and pricing guides for the US were updated 1/3 to show that Tartufo and Canberra will be available starting in April.

I've been stalking my preferred dealer's inventory for a while as my 5 is due back in August and I think I want an X5. For many weeks there have been no M-Sport models and nothing with the HK sound system [other than a lone X50]. The only interiors have been sensatec, or [ranked] coffee.. a LOT of coffee, black, and white vernasca.

Today there are 2 with M-Sport and 13 with HK. Seems like maybe whatever the holdup was is coming to an end? I definitely like the look of the M-Sport model, but it seems like a crazy priced option.
