Laser Lights
I believe there is an issue with my Laser Lights, I have noticed that the intensity doesn't change with speed over 38 mph on automatic high beam. It used to do that but not at the moment.
I took it to the dealer and they say everything is fine, they did take out for a drive at night as well and the notes said that the auto high beam works. I am not sure where I go from here as there is no indication in the instrument panel |

Are the laser lights only supposed to go on if you use the automatic high beam?
If you do not use automatic high beam but just flip the high beams on normally and are going over 37mph, do the laser lights not come on? How can you tell if they turn on at 37 mph, do you see the beam on the road get brighter? |

On the left turn stick there are two buttons. Click the bottom one I think. On the instrument display you'll see a blue icon (when your regular lights are on). If that blue icon is lit, the lights should brighten when there's no other car coming at you.

1. Are you sure you have the option on your vehicle? 2. Are you driving in a non-urban area without other traffic? System will not activate high beams if it "sees" other vehicles. If 1 & 2 are yes, you probably are having software issues. |

I have the laser lights in the US so we should have the auto high beams. I coded it for the anti dazzle before realizing I had to enable auto auto high beam on the lighting stall and not just the auto button on the dash so maybe something happened in the coding process although I did exactly as the instructions said.
I drive mostly in the city on back roads and there are definitely stretches with no cars and the highs never come on. Does the location matter as much as the isolation? I’ve not taken it out in the “country” since enabling the auto high beam function, just figured it would work when no cars were around but it’s not. |

This prompted me to check my light package (delivery expected this week). Noticed it states as standard: "decoding for no-dazzle high-beam assistance" whatever that means. |

If not, the lights work (you can turn on manually) and system is activated (you get green A) so my assumption is software issue. |

The high beams finally came on last night. I’ve only been driving with auto high beams for about two weeks and mostly just after dawn and late afternoon. But yesterday it was completely dark and they worked. It was just LED high beams since I was only going about 23-35, but at least it was working.
It’s odd that it can be dark enough for the lights to switch on but the high beams don’t function unless it’s really dark. |

I don’t know that I’ve seen the lasers either. I got it up to 40 last night on the road where the highs come on but it didn’t look any different than the LEDs high beams to me. It was only running high beams for a short while so maybe I just didn’t notice.

I am convinced the laser light is just a gimmick. But before ordering the car, ppl on this forum convinced me that the look is better with at blue plastic thing. I still don't think this laser light actually adds any benefit

There is seemingly benefit, but like much of the tech, there are a lot of conditions that have to be met before it functions.
