Congrats! Seems like factory had issues causing allocation shortage. I know another member also couldn't get allocation until today.

Yes, I think there have been delays. I put my order in 11/20/19. My dealer has been great, just wasn't able to get a allocation until now.

Excellent. I really like the combination of the Phytonic blue with the blue M sport calipers & blue laser inserts.

Haha same here, IMO X5 comes very well equipped... the things I'm adding are for my personal needs. To me it's the best of both worlds, I'm not paying crazy amounts of money but getting a great car that has 90% of what a fully loaded. At some point, you have to question whether you need that $650 crystal shift knob.

I know, but I have seen the glass controls in person and they are gorgeous. On a 90K SUV what's 650 bucks. Actually I have seen some threads where guys are looking to add the glass shifter, they wish they had ordered it. Same with the headlights - DO NOT get the base lights. Not only are they rated poor by the IIHS , but the DRL's look like they blew a fuse. Get the lasers. Plenty of talk about retrofitting those as well by folks who skipped them. And nobody "needs" a X5. A highlander or Pilot would be sufficient. Wants & likes come into play here.

I ended up getting all the nice inside things and leaving the outside to be basic. i'm not one for exterior looks so much as interior tech and comfort, but if i ever win the lottery i know how i'd be building the next one lol

My order will be put in tomorrow by the dealer. If I understand the process, I have to wait for several weeks to get an allocation? Then after that I will be given a build week? This is probably the start of production. Then does it take like 1-2 weeks for production complete? And then finally a week of in transit to the dealer ?

Did I get these steps correct?
I am researching hibernation pod for myself when then order is placed. I won't be able to bear the pain. Would like to wake up when the dealer calls my wife that it's here.

Nice luxury additions. Decide against glass controls?
