Just ran into this thread: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24363410 which looks like a good occasional setup.
https://www.americastire.com/buy-wheels/drag-dr-76 is where I can get the tire locally. Seems like there are 2 options for offsets, +22 and +35. Does anyone know which one works for the G05? Thanks. EDIT: OP got back to me, his are +35 offset. Last edited by bioman; 01-12-2020 at 03:09 PM.. |

A friend of mine bought knock off GT3 seats for his Porsche a few years back and when he had an accident, the welds broke on impact. If he didn't have a roll cage he'd have gone out the back window! |

Two years ago I bought a similar set off eBay for my wife's Yukon in 20" and same issue. They balanced better than the 5 series set but never perfect above 75 mph. Between the two sets I've spent $700+ balancing tires and will never buy a set of non OEM wheels off eBay again. Might be ok for a winter set if you can live with them for a couple months but BMW OEM wheels are worth the money. |

That looks really impressive. I was initially planning to install a set of winter tires but I found a good deal for both wheels and tires so I got that instead.

Drummer boy,
Are those the AEZ panama Dark? Ive just ordered a set if they are, they. Look really good. I was trying to find a true OEM wheel with the hub bore of 66.6 and no requirement for spacers or hub centric rings. Still trying to decide on the tyres. Might go for the grabber AT3 |

Finally went for the AEZ panama series which are quality German manufactured for SUV like Porsche Cayenne and X5 X6. Load limit of 1026 KG per rim which is more than enough. They are OEM wheels. 20x9 with 5x112 bolt pattern and 33 offset with 66.6 centre bore so no need for spacers or hub centric rings which can Sometimes lead to vibration at high speed.
To complement i have added the general grabber AT3 275/45/20 I initially thought that they would not fill the wheel arch well after my bmw 22 inch wheels, but because the AT3 are quite thick tyres with a wide tread pattern they dont look much difference size wise so quite pleasantly surprised. I went for the v rated tyres up to 149mph. So far had it up to 95 mph and no vibration or excessive noise so very pleased. Will keep these on till april -may and then go back to my 22 with summer contis. As these are all season tyres there’s not the rush to get them off when it gets warm and they are still m+s and snow rated. Will post some pictures soon. |

Help me decide… have a G05 on order which is coming soon. I need winter wheels but options are slowly thinning out.
Phytonic blue is the exterior color. I'm leaning towards one of these... thoughts? The top one or bottom one? Thanks! Last edited by mavjay; 02-21-2020 at 10:19 PM.. |
