Anyone priced a M Sport front bumper?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone priced a M Sport front bumper? Or know of a site where you can purchase them?

Maybe its too costly....don’t know.

I don't know for sure about the GO5....

but, I can tell you that typically, it takes a couple years for OEM parts to hit the market and become readily available to "regular" consumers.

I can also tell you, that you ABSOLUTELY want an OEM part. In about a year, you will start seeing aftermarket front bumper molds to convert cars to the MSport variant. They are TERRIBLE quality.... all of them. They don't fit properly, and you'll always see "wavy-ness" in the material.

Don't buy an aftermarket bumper... ever.

Here is the quote from the dealer....painted and installed.

I priced it myself with an OEM parts site...and she is about 30% less.

I am not sure what pieces and parts are not needed on the list that transfer from the current bumper system if any...

For those interested....there you go.

I used the parts list above and it was largely correct. There was one set of duplicate parts. the Fog lamp surround... The list has two different sets. And then 2 parts were missing. The left and right gloss air intakes, that are nested In the center of the bumper, as well as the associated tow hitch cover and the blank cover.

The overall install was pretty easy.

0) Remove Front Wheels
1) Remove wheel arch trim
2) Remove wheel wells
3) Remove decorative grills
4) REmove all screws on the bumper itself
5) release clips around the grill
6) Wiggle bumper free
7) Unplug wire harness on the passenger side

Bumper is free

8) Put all parts that are on the list above into the new bumper
9) Bring wire harness from old bumper (unclip sensors and fog lamps)
10) Install all clips and wire harness onto the new bumper
11) Fit to the vehicle
12) Screw in the top and sides of the bumper to the car
13) Srew in Wheel wells
14) attach all other screws around the lower bumper and side trim area
15) re-attach wheel arch trim
16) re-attach front grill

It took me about 5 hours but I was also being extra careful.

Also, there are 4 plastic rivets that you will need from the dealer that is not in the parts list above. I purchased 6 because I thought I would mess a couple up possibly... and I did, so maybe buy 7 to be safe. ($1.50 each). You need a rivit gun to install those.

Also a couple other notes.

The m-sport bumper comes with 6 Parking Distance Sensor holes in the bumper. The X-line has only 4 sensor holes. So you have two options.

1) Have the body shop patch and fill 2 outer most holes, when they are painting the bumper
2) Buy some used or dead sensors and just put them in place to fill the holes.

I opted for option 1, because I had no idea if I could find used or auto wrecker sensors.

As you can see in the picture, 2 of my sensors are painted white, from the original bumper. I think it looks kind of cool. But I may apply some round 3M wrap to make them black.

Anthony555 - thanks posting this - it looks great! I may be interested in doing the same sometime down the road. Potentially dumb question here - did you get the bumper painted before or after the install?

that looks great. Out of curiosity, did you do anything to the lower side trim or rear bumper trim to make them white as well?
