I thought there was another week in between, maybe that is part of the production QA period.

I meant the automated customer service, when you dial the Genius line it will ask you to say what you're calling for. If you just say "checking production status" it can give you the latest status without speaking to any human. You can of course stay on the line and talk to someone as well.

I program it into speed dial although I had to make some alterations since they changed the menu options. My "BMW Order Status" speed dial now looks like this...

1(800)831-1117,,,,,,,,,,,2,,,XXXXXXX,,1‬

replacing the X's with the production order number.

I have an X5 on order. Production 'began' on 12/17. Status is still unchanged.

Completion date is supposed to be 1/12. Let's see....
1/12 completion date for my X5 (told production started 12/16)...website shows status "production begins"
Update - Called genius yesterday and they had updated completion date range from 1/9 to 1/16. This morning website shows it's in Quality Check stage.

We’re on the same completion date (after calling genius), but my website view still shows “start of production”, oh well, seems the website has some glitches.

My completion date (per dealer & customer service) is 1/11, and my website view shows “start of production”, two days before completion. I think & hope the tracking website is not reliable.

Well... Its 1:00am 1/11, South Carolina time, on my scheduled completion date, and the website view, in "My BMW," of my X6 has just jumped, all of a sudden, from "Production begins," where it had been since VIN issuance on 12/18, through "Exterior body assembly begins,""In the paint booth"to"Entering assembly line," to be assembled during the Wolf Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse, hopefully an auspicious beginning, astrologically. Getting excited!

Anyone know what prep work dealers typically do for delivery? My CA only mentioned washing the vehicle.

End of day 1/11, vehicle completed, as scheduled, & "Awaiting Carrier Assignment," for delivery to my Southwest dealer.

My first post - or reply actually...I have stalked this forum for over a year and finally have a “baby” on the way as well.

Completion date on automated system is 1/22. Website still on production begins. Starting to get excited!

You're in the same boat as me, my estimated completion date is 18th. That tracker definitely is not updated.

You can be pleasantly surprised when your vehicle starts jumping production levels on your SCD as mine did. See below:

Currently awaiting delivery to dealer 1/17. It seems through the website reporting of my vehicle that they get produced really quickly when the scheduled completion date comes up.
