I almost always do. Up to 6th should include 6th no? Certainly what I thought was conveyed when I said up to 6th. But let's stipulate that I mean through 6th. It leaves 7th still as what I was interested in as to why you didn't say 7th in your original post.

In the interest of accuracy I only pulled for what I would estimate to be less than 3 seconds after shifting out at about 8300 RPM. To include 7th in that situation when the gear was barely utilized would be less than accurate. Hence the language up to and through 6th gear. I was in 7th when I lifted.

My friend in the Superleggera hit 196. I bailed out as my brother had just survived a massive stroke as I felt it would be bad form to kill him in a fiery crash in the back woods of MEXICO.

I have no doubt that in its current tune and condition it could achieve pretty close to its theoretical Vmax. If I'm at 100 in 4th and floor it it spins the tires and chirps them in the shift from 4th to 5th as well as the shift from 5th to 6th.

I will probably never find out, however. As I age my appetite for that kind of extreme running has diminished.

I could push it even further , there was still some breath to 8400 rpm's . But got traffic in front of me on that long straight on the Deutsche Autobahn ...
The weather and the road condition has to be also pretty much perfect to push it beyond 300 km/h...
Once back in F* Belgium it's speedcams everywhere and back to 120 km/h .
It was like sleepwalking.You know what I mean....

Settle down ? That's a negative . The last 2 years we got new projects from Japan and the US.

178 in my E60 M5.

The most hilarious thing was when I passed 6 or 7 bikers on a 3 lane highway with a full house, when they were doing 145 ish. They were all looking at each other in amazement that a 4 door sedan could pass them doing that fast. All of us in the car were laughing hysterically.

148 in my E90 M3. I could have used newer tires at the time, so I wasn't really trying to push it.

155 in my E90 325i. I didn't push it any faster, but I was amazed at my regular 3-Series going that fast.

130 in my X3.

I did a 187 mph while working on a 2006 Z06 corvette at GM proving grounds in Milford, Michigan in 2005. In February. On summer tires.

I was young(er) and stupid(er) back then. But clearly never lacked big brass balls.

Still my Land Speed Record event. My M2 only does 168mph which I find a few times a month on the German Autobahn. Wish I had a Z06 now. 200 would happen. Guaranteed.

That's awesome, my friend! And you are so correct on slowing down...it looks as if you can walk besides the car at 100km/h after you've been over 160 or 170. It's kinda crazy!!

What did they do to your DCT?

Got my BPM-Tune back in 2013 . As for my S65 , it was tuned with the BPM custom development tune (DEV-Tune)
OFC with the speed limiter removed

As for my DCT , I got the BPM GTS-software upgrade . Shifts are really smooth , but also really fast . A lot faster than stock . Once my DSC is OFF , the shifts kicks in the A$$ .
My DCT stock software had the second gear lag . My local BMW/Dealer was not able to fix it . My car was there 4 times . Nothing changed and I burned my money !
I told Mike about my situation . Mike said....No problem buddy .I can do that !
That's how Mike actually is...

Everything was done via Skype on my laptop with the BPM remote cable in the middle of the night.
I got some coding stuff for free from Mike. Even after 7 years I can reach Mike day and night . He calls me buddy and I call him my friend .
One thing is for sure . Mike knows his stuff and he is always super friendly , his knowledge about our engines and tuning software is beyond our understanding ...
Actually he's the best tuner out there in LA !

This is very high praise from a car enthusiast as knowledgable as you are, my friend. I will look at his site again. I'm going to upgrade my CCC system to the latest Android system in the M6. This may provide an opportunity to use his services.
