My rims and tires are invisible

So I went out to my car and found my rims and tires turned invisible.

I finally got around to post the video.

After all cost which include rims, tires and front calipers my total was 8700 Euro.

Hang on - is this actually theft or have the wheels been removed for refurb/respray etc??

I have these on mine, just in case.....

Based on the fact that he walked to his car to find it without wheels tells me it was theft.

And I actually looked into Rimgard, but they don't currently have German applications, since cars like BMW use wheel bolts (think male), while other makes such as Japanese cars use lug nuts with receiving threading (think female)....

Wheel locks are an absolute must. When I got my M50i in April I was nervous for the two weeks it took me to get the wheel locks in and on the car. Sorry to see that man.

Oh, no. At least they were nice enough to leave the car on bottle jacks. Call the police, and don't touch the jacks; there may be fingerprints on them.
On a positive note, nice opportunity to get a rim upgrade. What rims did you have?

I'm calling cap 🧢 methinks jacked by you… not hijacked by thieves who would conveniently leave their jacks. these materials against the wall suggest you work on your car in the garage…

I mean, we don't know you from Fred, but the thread title and initial comment of them "turning invisible" exude humor or even a false situation given their lighthearted connotation. are u in Hawaii (per profile) or Germany (per post)?

(if I'm wrong, I apologize.)

I would purchase these if they fit aftermarket wheels, but RimGuard told me they're only made and guaranteed to fit OEM

Rimguard fit the OEM wheels. As I said above, I'm very happy with the peace of mind.

The rim guard covers the bolts completely, so you cant even get to them in the first instance. Why would it matter which type of bolts/nuts are installed??

Although I have the BMW locking nut on each wheel as well, considering masters are available they were not as secure as I would have liked. This way any thief would need to get through the Rimguard before dealing with the locking nut too.....

Sorry you're right! I was confusing it with another product.

Unfortunately they won't fit in the center hub of my aftermarket wheels.

Wow that sucks. Start browsing EBAY, Craigslist and other selling websites and see if someone is dumb enough to post them for sale originating in your area.

I'm not sure if our wheels have a serial number on them, but it might be worth checking out.

I wish it was a joke. I'm in Germany now haven't changed the location on the forums. Ya I walked out to my car and found it on these small Jack's. At first I thought this was joke and then it hit me that they are gone. About to months ago an AMG got their rims stolen too. I didn't know this until someone from the apartment told me.

Russians. Has to be Russians. I can't imagine a German doing that. I do like that garage it's in though...

But seriously - sorry man. As I park on the street here in Philly...I'm going to get the locking nuts first thing when my car arrives - so thank you for posting the warning.

Is this a public parking or the parking in your building?

How did you solve this? The dealer came with 4 new tires? Did you have to wait a long time.

I hope for you it was covered by insurance
