I'm not sure how it works over there in Germany but here local parts stores/websites have the lookup for the battery base on vehicle/options. If you do it yourself you will need to have the battery registered, either by a dealer or you can buy Bimmerlink and do it yourself.

I found it thanks and got a replacement im in the process of replacing it

And i have bimmerlink

Trying to figure that part out next

Im trying to remove that strap on there pretty tight only thing standing between me and the dealer lol

so update to this post the car has now refused to start and now it has been towed to a dealer. will see what the fix is for this.

so another update to this post.

After changing out the alternator I stopped getting the battery error.

than after that was done the car started having a hard time starting up sometimes not starting up on first push of button

than got worse over time with the start and stop function came to a red light car turned off light turned green and car was unable to start back up leaving me stalled in a intersection

finally got the car started went straight back to the dealer that changed the alternator.

Picked the car up today and not even 2 hours after driving it the car won't start and now it started smoking

I have no idea what is causing this but the car has less than 40k miles.

think this will be my first and last bmw once this is fixed trading it in

Looks like the engine may be completly dead more to come later.

Only had 40k miles insane guess these b58s arent as reliable as some may think

well now they claiming the electric part of the starter has been burned?!?!?!?

like how does that even happen?
