I tried but He said they wouldn’t finalize until it arrives. Just told me I’m locked in at the rate from when I ordered it or better if it gets better.
Also they didnt take a deposit from me to order it which is why I’m not stressing it. 🤷🏻*♂️

I would have walked away from the dealer as soon as they said that but the good thing is dealers aren't charging ADM's recently so the worst you will do is probably MSRP. Hopefully they don't have any mandatory add-ons. Non-refundable deposits are illegal in CA so there is no point in asking for a deposit since you can get back at anytime. Once it is finalized let us know how it goes and congratulations on your order.

I definitely will. I showed him some other savings from leasehackr and from this forum and he said he can get me 6% whether up front or back end and i have that in writing. He has taken care of 3 friends who told me the same experience with him so hopefully it works out well. I have broker quotes who can get me pricing of at least 3% off MSRP worst case scenario and i know he'll do that. Even 2 other local dealers said that as well. I'm not terribly worried and he probably wants a sale more than I need one so we will see...

Sounds like he is a decent one and you will be fine. Unfortunately many dealers that wait until delivery before discussing pricing use it as way to have the customer over a barrel and offer little to no discount.

There should be a lot of activity this week for us week 40 folks. Checked this morning and my production date got moved up one day from 10/6 to 10/5.

Not long! I think mine moved to QC in just a matter of hours.

Looks like my X5 50e is now status 190 and "Dispatched From Factory". I'm pretty sure these are made in South Carolina and will be moving via Car Transporter? Can anyone confirm this is the case and that it should now take around a week to get to Los Angeles?
Looks like this last leg happened SUPER FAST!
Should i expect it to be delivered directly to my dealer from SC or will it have some time elsewhere before the dealer?

It’ll go via train with transfer along the way. I’d expect 2 wks.

Production Date of 10/4, Got moved up from 10/6. I guess tonight or tomorrow is when all the movement will happen. Hoping to be able to pick the car up in the next two weeks if all goes smoothly with delivery to NY. Already have a couple of cosmetic mods ready to be scheduled.

Do they clear QC during weekends or the engineers take weekends off? I heard the plant runs over the weekend but I may be wrong

Last I saw, Saturdays are not a scheduled work day for the plant although when the demand is high they work a partial day.
