Hi yall, I've recently picked up the new X5 M60i and also as my first BMW, so far I'm absolutely loving it as a daily driver. The car is just perfect.
I had a full front PPF and front tint window applied by a local store. During the curing period in the garage, diy applied ceramic coating to the entire exterior (what a workout that was!) and also treated the interior leather with ceramic coating. I'm hoping the exterior coating will last for three years and the leather for one year, which should reduce maintenance needs a lot. In addition, blacken out the wheels and rear badges myself for a clean look with the existing M sports trim. Last thing on my TODO list is the sets of the badge on the side panel which is cutting out in the US market, cant really find it nowhere for now, bummer I'm very thankful for all the advice and discussions from the members of this forum which is incredibly helpful in my learning process. Took some photos of the car when it was perfectly clean to share with the community. Last edited by mustangigem; 02-12-2024 at 11:01 PM.. |

For the "badge on the side panel" that you mentioned... which one are you referring to? Is it the little ///M fender badges? |

Thank you ! Yes, I was referring to the side panel M60i badge which seems available in every market except US, I can locate to the parts# but it’s simply not available or in a sense with no inventory at all

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1811894 You could just swap out your existing vends altogether, but I would strongly suggest to keep what you already have https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...yAdapt=glo2usa |

Quite the spec, congrats! Did those wheels come in black from the factory?

I was watching a vehicle walk through video with the same specs and thought mine will be exactly same and turned out that car was for Korean market, which I believe that’s where the gap is coming from, but yeah I can sleep well without the side badges for sure
