Good to hear that Racechip functions well with the S63-B44T4! From my experience with RC, it has some nice boost that's welcomed by stock hardware. Quick and easy install, too.

I don't think they were saying it's not faster, they simply pointed out its to be expected bc of power to weight... I would hope the X3mc boosted would be faster since the power to weight is already better to start with. Its oranges to apples here well watermelon to grapefruit. lol

Also, this is a fairly mild tune. I am sure better times will come with more aggressive tunes, Downpipes, Exhaust, Ethanol tunes etc

What I can say about it, it is not the most aggressive tune out there, but it is the easiest and best engineered.
Majority of my customers has been happy with the product.
A 9% max potential HP gain (49 hp) on the M50i does not seem like much. I wonder if the wife would even notice it. Do they give refunds if you aren’t satisfied? Dinan has a 40 HP boost kit for the 40i with a base of 335 HP.

The power to weight advantage is not in the hands of theX3 M it is the X5 M at (8.5lbs) vs the X3 M at (9.2). The X5 also has deeper gearing giving it a slight mechanical advantage on top of its superior power to weight ratio.

I know what your trying to say that's why I responded... and if a almost 5700+ pound vehicle with a driver in it going 11.4 without bolt on's or gas isn't impressive to you then idk man god bless you.


Maybe I'm on drugs but I remember a time where this fast SAV / SUV thing didn't exists now we reach a point where an object that isnt aerodynamically sound that weighs 5k+ pounds goes damn near 10's in the quarter isn't impressive.. ehhh I guess lol.

They do offer 30 days satisfaction guarantee which I also honor.
I agree, on M50i not much gain compare to the 40i.
My guess, BMW maxing out the capacity on M50i engine. Unless you are doing a flash tune where they can change the AFR beyond factory safe zone.

I am finding a curb weight of 5260 from more than one site.
Forgive me but I'm just adding driver weight 200+ pound individual as well as belongings sorry about that. Mine is around 5600 (F85) so given the fact that I was told the F95 is a bit heavier than ours is why I came up with that number which is inaccurate so forgive me once again.

But moral of the story is one is heavier than the other by far but there's no way I can say the X5M isn't impressive. BOTH are in my opinion and both vehicles are still in 2 different classes as well.

Correct. It's a very mild piggy back that takes 4 min to install. No drama. No flashing, no stains on the ECU that flashes leave, no E85, or anything else.
This is pretty much snapping your fingers and having a "safe" power bump.

As I mentioned, I've tried all JB piggy backs on my previous cars and BM3 flash tune on my previous X5M. This is the route I chose to go for with this car just for the ease of install/uninstall.

JB4 requires going through firewall and plugging into OBD, which I didn't want to deal with.

I went the JB4 route for my Vantage. Install took 2hrs+ (pain in the a** to reach sensors). That's a weekend car and I don't mind letting it sit there if there are any issues.

With the X5M, I need a quick solution to uninstall on the side of the road if I had to.
