Tanzanite is one of my favorite colors and I wouldn’t hesitate to order for my next ride. How much do you want to stand out? Tanzanite Blue is quite common. Marina Bay, SMB are much less common.

Nonsense. I guarantee you there are more Marina Bay Blue versions of the X5M/X6M out there when compared to Tanzanite Blue versions.
MBB with Silverstone seems to be the most popular combo you'll see on this car. In about about 2-3 yeas, check the used / CPO market for pre owned X5M or X6M and see what pops up the most.

Lol, that color combo isn't really my style, but it might work for someone out there.
That's the great thing about customization!
Car enthusiast get to build their car based off their own preference, personality and distinct style if they so choose.
The telesto is definitely a nice color, indeed

Honestly Signal Green is such a sharp green color I feel as though it only belongs on a GT3

Colors I'm leaning the most towards to;
SMB - Top choice
Avus Blue - Strong contender, pure blue flake. It's like a lighter SMB.
Grigio Telesto - Would look super cool with black wheels and black accents, like BHGM
Brands hatch gray metallic - if I xpel matte wrap it, would look like my M5 CS which looks awesome
Pyrite Brown - I've never liked "brown" cars but this color looks ridiculous. Could be cool on an X5M.



Colors I kinda like;
Tanzanite Blue II - This one is a little on the dark side, wish it was slightly brighter
MBB - I don't like the purple flake
Aurora Diamond Green - I already have a green car (Oak Forest Green 992), but this one looks kinda nice.
Macao Blue - Saw it in photos, looks kinda weak as a color. This is what I want but I wish it had more blue flake in it.




I want to order a '23 before the LCI and only have 8k miles left on this 21' lease. The 23 I will buy since rates are shit. I want it to be something cool since it's probably the last gasser only X5M. I don't think I'm going to keep it forever, so no crazy individual interior, they quoted me 15k to get some damn stitching and seat centers swapped out.

Adelaide Gray is awesome in person. All pics make it look way too beige. Much more gray in person.

I was weak and ordered a '23 in Tanzanite.

I really just want something like my Ultrasonic Blue Mica ISF. It was like in between MBB and Tanzanite in a way.

Thinking about dumping the wheels I just got and going a different style, and possibly adding an akrapovic, JB4 and WMI instead of the racechip I have in the current X5M.

Really though I should just send the ECU to femtoevo... Anyone here done that for their x5m yet?

Femtoevo is no longer located in russia. DM them on here or their instragram for details. Supposedly their turnaround is two weeks..... I'd be curious to try it and document it.

As for the RC vs JB4, well it's because I have a RC on both my X5M and M5 CS. I notice timing being pulled on my X5M with map 7 regardless of fuel source and high ambient temperature obviously exacerbates it. This becomes apparent at WOT going 90-130. The timing being pulled feels like a brick wall, and can range between slight-to-none all the way to do not continue. I do not experience this at all on my M5. It just sounds and feels like a spicy m5cs. With the next X5m I really would like a full decat + WMI to make it capable of consistent high ambient temperature operation.


Completely unrelated: Drove a Model X Plaid w/ 80 miles on it. I love the acceleration, it's just about what I would consider the "right" amount of power for a daily driver. The issue: Everything else about this vehicle is tragic. I hate to say it, but BMW please give me an ix5m with plaid acceleration but BMW M handling, steering, suspension, etc. I might lose the noise but damnit it would be a perfect DD.

I almost sold my TB '23 that I'm about to pick up and was told 8 additional weeks for individual. If my buddy grabbed the tanzie I ordered I wanted to do Grigio Telesto with the red interior.

I did see the tanzanite blue in person and it for sure looks sharp. BMW is gonna swap my parts and I should get it end of the next week once it's done with PPF

so how many weeks total with the TB added into it? would they not change your order on TB to Grigio Telesto?

The TB II is already here and my buddy couldn't get approved on it, so I'm gonna grab it this weekend.

They told me a total of about 4 months to get it here with an individual color.
