Sorry for what may be a dumb question but I don't remember hearing it on Miss Fisher, Doctor Blake, City Homicide or A Place to Call Home (yes, I got hooked on that), what is eraky?

Shipped arrive in NZ not long left! Out of interest is anyone opting for ceramic coating from BMW? They use a product HYDRO G9+ haven’t heard of it.

Also they have this Schmick package that cover dents and scratches! Thoughts?

Hi,

I got the BMW Care package, Ceramic coating, interior protection etc. I don't think they ever put the ceramic coating on, from day one it was never slick or really shiny. The only thing that may be worth it is the warranty for the interior. I have a white interior and they guarantee it with the care package for 5? or 10? years. If I was doing it again I would take it to a professional detailing shop that specialises in ceramic coating.
If the Scratch package is AutoX Car Care, I'm going through a 'claim' at the moment. I have to take lots of photos, have a clean safe area for them to work etc. It is not a quick process and will be able to comment more when they actually come to do the work. I live way south of Adelaide so I'm not holding my breathe as to when they will get to me.

Thanks Richard appreciate the feedback! Think I may just take it to my detailer who does the ceramic coating.

Thought it wouldn’t be an easy process might pass on it. For the ceramic coating interior and exterior and the 2 years for Schmick it’s $2500.

Got the 5 year service package as well!!

I have an M60i on order. Production date was supposedly yesterday & I have the VIN. The https://track.bmw.com.au/track-your-bmw shows nothing for me though!

I think mine was built on 9/3/24. 3/4/24 email from Dealer stating the car is on the Dock. I think a late June arrival/delivery

Wow that's longer than I thought it would be to get to the dock. I saw one of the ships that was due to head to Aus has been stuck in Baltimore port for weeks... Hopefully that doesn't delay too much

I don’t think the dealers actually do a proper ceramic coating. The cynic in me suggests they just give it a good wash, and that’s it… 🤥

I think you are right! The AutoXcare package (an aftermarket dent and repair 'club') is also not worth the price, unless you scuff a lot of rims. Tried to get a small crack on my front bumper fixed, didn't qualify and they state that colour and finish may not match! Luckily I didn't pay for it as it was thrown in a a deal sweetener, but if they offer it to use try and get the$500 odd off the price or additional accessories.
