Hello everyone! I saw that the X5 can support navigation with AR (augmented reality). In order to have that, do I need to get the Driving Assistant Pack Professional?

Packages vary but country. In the US you need to get at least the Premium package to get AR. It seems to tide to the HUD not DAP.

Wouldn’t you also need the PAP to get the surround view (and the front camera) fo that?

Issam2204 I have the AR feature, I find it rather gimmicky than useful and keep it turned off. Plus, it only works when you’re using BMW built in navigation; which also reminds me that you might also need the live cockpit plus (or pro?) with navigation for it to work.

Not according to the what we have seen, the pricing guide or BMW's marketing. AR is part of the Live Cockpit Pro which is part of the Premium package.

I looked at the description of what we call in Belgium the “Innovation pack” and it includes the BMW Live Cockpit Navigation Professional with HUD. As long as you have that you have the AR features. Thanks for the help!

I’ve found it to be most useful when using Assisted Driving Plus. It helped me gain confidence that the car was properly assessing the road and plotting an appropriate trajectory.

In the new x5 50e 2023, does anyone know what is different between the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW Live Cockpit Plus beyond the AR? Does the navigation system have additional features?
