My client advisor just sent over. Figured others would want to see as well.

Looks relatively similar to MY 21 as far as available options (e.g., HK and DHP still unavailable on 40i/45e), but they've mixed and matched the packages a bit.

Any idea why 45e base price has dropped form $65,400 to $63,700? There's no change to s40i, x40i or M50i

Noticed that too. My 45e finished the build today and am taking delivery next week. Oh well.

FWIW, They actually added 6NS Enhanced Bluetooth in the base configuration.

If nothing is stripped out - then i’m puzzled.
The dollar is falling to euro. Plus inflation.
Tariffs, if any for parts between the US and EU and/or China are in place (Aircraft ones may be gone in the future).

I won’t believe for a moment that BMW decided to lower the prices.

I don't think there's anything stripped out. I'm comparing MY22 45e vs MY22 40i.

45e has everything 40i has plus:

• 6AG eDrive Services
• 4U9 Acoustic protection for pedestrians
• 2VR 2-axle air suspension

And 40i has:

• 1CE 48V Mild Hybrid System

Other than these, there's nothing the 40i has that 45e doesn't and 40i price has not dropped.

Comparing M21 45e and MY22 45e:

• 534 Automatic climate control -> 534 Dual Zone Auto Climate Control
• 5A1 LED Fog Lights -> ??
• 6CP Apple CarPlay Compatibility -> ZAX Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatibility
• ?? -> 6NS Enhanced Bluetooth

Still doesn't explain the price drop.

Wonder if they are close to reaching the magic 200k number for Federal Tax credit. The price drop might be to let it stand on its own without the tax benefits. 45e = 40i + air suspension. Who knows?

330e price has also dropped by $1,700 for MY22. I wonder if BMW needs to sell more PHEVs for the fleet gas/emission average...

Said they can take it now but I'm not sure they have actually received allocations yet (believe that happens in July) but said if they had an order without an allocation it helps them get an allocation (not sure if that's BS or not though).

Another dealer was willing to quote me on a percent off basis on a 2022 order as well.

What an utter disappointment! Glad I don't need to order another BMW until 2023! Hopefully this mess will be over in 2022, and options will be a-plenty, and the days of 8-12% discounts will be the norm again when dealers are sitting flush with inventory on lots!

Spoke via EMAIL to a dealer (Sales Manager) in NY state.

she said that they are taking "Pre-Orders" for MY2022 already. Will expect allocations (or hope for them) from July onwards.

When I mentioned or asked about discounts - she pretended not to hear me....oh boy.

Any idea how incentives will be handled as I only see writing about MY2021

C36 (Ind) Dravit Grey Metallic
C3Z Tanzanite Blue II Metallic
X1B (Ind) Ametrin Metallic

These colors look similar to what is offered for the X7

QUESTION: can you order these colors for a 45e? or its only available for the M models? Will they allow you to pick from the other group? or its only the standard colors listed on the sheet?

Ja those are identical paint options for X7s.

There are no Priority 1 paint options for 40i, 45e - ONLY available for M50i. You’re not able to takeout menu options from model line to another.
