Anyone having issues with myBMW not updating since the 25th June? It’s the only way to check if I need to charge the car unless I go the car itself everytime.

perform a telematics reboot. that usually fixes it

hold down the radio VOL button through 3 iDrive reboots. can let go of the button when you see the third startup screen. you may have to perform the procedure more than once though not usually

is this a new car? do you have solid mobile service in your area?

It’s an iX bought May last year running iDrive 8. I will give that I try this evening and confirm - thank you 🙏🏼

Oh, I don’t know if that’ll work on the iX. you posted on the X5/X6 (G05/G06) forum. may want to post on the iX forum

I am having the same problem, date of last update from vehicle, 6/26/23. Everything else seems to update and all remote functions work fine. Took to the dealer this am, they tried rebooting and resetting nothing worked. Have it scheduled for a service call late July, hoping to have it worked out prior to that.

Anyone have an other ideas or suggestions.

many don’t know about the telematics reboot. it’s not the same as an iDrive reboot which is a well-known and common troubleshooting procedure (like rebooting a computer)

Same problem after apparent iPhone update. Map, trip info, charge status, etc ...all not working. No longer can see remote functions. Tried the telematics reboot but still not working. Deleted and reinstalled app...no good. Called BMW assist...no help. Told it would take 10 working days for someone to respond. Gave me ticket #....Thanks BMW. Car is 24 X5 50e

did you restart your iPhone?

I’m currently on iOS 16.5.1, MyBMW 3.5.2, and i-Step 03/2023.50

all my data, functions and status on MyBMW app are current and working

As for me, yes I've turned the phone off and restarted several times. My BMW app and software is up to date.
Out of the blue about 30min ago my app partially came back to life with some data and functions visible again. As of now, the charging status still appears as it did on 6/26 at 8:57 which is the apparent time of the failure. Map data has not updated since the same time. Trip data is accurate and is up to date. Notifications are coming through that charging is complete but app still states in progress and stuck at 65%. Even when disconnected from charger, app shows still charging.
May give it overnight to see if anything changes. Try again to reboot in AM.

I have had the same issue at around the same time. Remote features work (3D camera). Trip history and charging history also work. I did reboot and app update.

Seems like state of charge and fuel are off and not updating. I’m going to give it a few days. Seems like a server issue?

Same exact issue for me since 6/26/23 AM. So sounds like same issue many are having. I deleted and reinstalled app and that did nothing. will also just wait to see if it fixes it self.

I’m in the East coast. No issues whatsoever. last time my app didn’t update was well over two months ago, and it’s only the second time in 2.5 years of ownership

maybe it’s a specific regional server issue?

I looked on the iX forum. Seems like it is prevalent issue there also. All updates seemed to have stopped at ~ the same time.

I just spoke to the BMW Genius line. They are aware of the issue. It is on the server side with ConnectedDrive. They are adding VINs to the list of affected vehicles. The guy I spoke with said he had gotten about 40 calls this morning with the same issue. Basically, it went out on the 26th (which was true on my end).

He didn't have a precise ETA, but said 24-48 hours maybe.

On a separate note -- and I'm away from my car right now -- but I assume this does NOT affect the Digital Key Plus function? I don't want to make the mistake of getting myself locked out of my vehicle if I don't have the FOB and this issue affects the Digital Key function.

Good to hear, thanks. I also called back the genius line to ask if there might be any cross contamination between the systems (Connected Drive and Digital Key) and they said no. Glad that is your experience (so far, at least).

Same no updates on my bmw for 2024 50e since evening of 6/26/2023. I will do the hard reboot.

Mine came back to life today. All info is now current on the app. Updated around noon EDT.
