Best Aftermarket Amp Option?
Hey gang,
I’m curious what the best option for an aftermarket amp is? For our regular speakers. I’m currently using a TechnicPNP “add a sub” harness to a JL 1200/1 amp with a JL W7 12” subwoofer. Sounds great, but my interior speakers only wake up at 3/4 volume and I’m not doing my ears any favours. I figure I’ll add some power to my speakers to better balance out the system. That’s where I’m stuck. I’m running BAVSound speakers and under seat woofers. I would LIKE to keep it all JL Audio and get one of their DSP amps, but the largest one is 8 channels. That means I would need to either ignore some channels (center speaker, etc) or buy an 8+2 amp to go with my mono amp. 3 amps seems excessive. Alternatively I can go with a Matchup 10 DSP and sacrifice some power. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m just trying to better balance out the system and add some life to my mids below 3/4 volume level. Current setup: HK OEM setup BAVSound highs, mids and under seat woofers. TechnicPNP harness tapping off the underseat woofers to add an external mono amp. JL 1200/1 mono amp JL 12” sealed subwoofer
