Watch out for Potholes

As the title says - "watch out for potholes".

The roads in the UK in and around my area are breaking up and potholes are forming everywhere.

I managed to hit a pothole Saturday morning that burst both the front and rear side passenger tyres and limped the car into a nearby garden centre.

Parked up with 6 other cars all with punctures after hitting the same pot hole.

BMW have now recovered the car and I'm facing a bill for 4 new tyres.

Running the 22"s probably didn't help and no availability on the Conti Premium Contacts, so switching to the P Zero's.

Sorry to hear about your run in with a crater. 6 other cars also disabled? Damn that sounds like the pot holes we used to get in western PA.
Hopefully the police or DOT did something to fill it or divert traffic around it.

6 other cars at the same time!? Sounds like you should reach out to the city and see if they will offer any reimbursement on the new tires.

I've tried putting a claim in for the damage - its a waiting game now to see what they come back with.

I'd always thought the big wide rears would glide over most pot holes. But been proved completely wrong on that theory.
