Insurance cost for X5

Has anyone surveyed insurance companies to compare costs for insuring the X5 models? If so what did you find out? Is the best GEICO, All State, State Farm, etc?
I did a search and bid not see any threads. If I missed, sorry.

It's probably hard to say if one better than another because all rates are very individual.

My guess is there is no one "best" company since pricing varies so much by state, coverage, credit scores, etc. The company that is the least expensive for me (Acuity) maybe be very expensive/not available for you. You may want to get some quotes and also contact an Independent Agent that will shop many companies for you.

I agree with the other responses. You really have to get a quote from each of the insurance providers, and that's what I did recently. Some companies charge you more because of where you are located (like NYC), but some don't care. Also, while others may penalize you for your driving record, some are more relax. Lastly, some providers just want to increase their customer base and they will do it at a lower price just to get you in.

I have been with Geico for 6 years and they want $1,900 premium for a 6-month policy on the G05. Progressive and State Farm each offered around $900. Geico couldn't match the offer, and the rep did not have any good response, which I understand because they do their work based on what they see on the computer. If you do multi line (i.e. with a real estate) + multi vehicle, the policy will generally be lower. There is really no loyal customer in the auto insurance world. Whoever offers the best price, you go there.

I had Geico on my F15 and when I went to get the binder for the G05 the rate was $954 MORE per year. I spoke to a rep and said that is not possible. No accidents, no claims, nothing.....

She said the safety features in all of these high-end vehicles has yet to be proven and the repair cost to a front-end easily is $5000 to start...

Shopping insurance companies at the present time

I had Geico for a long time and changed to USAA a couple years ago because they were cheaper. My insurance went up like 19.00 a month for my 2019 X5 replacing my 2018 Lexus GS350 F-sport

I don't have the car yet. I got a quote from Geico $250 a month which I'm currently their membership. StateFarm is $150. So my car will arrive maybe the end of August and I may have to switch to StateFarm.

We have Amica. I think I’m paying around $900 for the year, but I had an accident two years ago. We currently have five cars insured with them including my daughter in medical school in Florida. We live in rural Maryland.

Insurance

I pay $240 for my leased X5 through Country Financial. I switched over from Geico, who could not go lower than $280. Also, I'm 29 and live in Atlanta so, even with no prior accidents (knock on wood), my insurance is pretty high. It was $115 a month on my 2013 Acura TSX with Geico so definitely an increase.

Ours is $133 / month for two drivers and two cars with Progressive. It is like a third of what we were paying with Nationwide and Geico before we consolidated and switched earlier this year.

Wow!! I think we are getting ripped off. We pay $263 a month for two vehicles, including the X5. Clean driving records. Is it bc we are in California? Or have been too complacent and need to shop around?!

It will vary from state to state. Geico/Progressive/Esurance have been the cheapest for me.

Michigan is a no fault state... I feel bad for the X5 owners there. They probably pay $200/month minimum just for the X5.

I pay about $100 for the X5 which includes the windshield coverage. The other coverage are paid for via my other 2 cars, though, like UIM/UM.

California has the 2nd highest premiums in the US. I moved from Wisconsin (49th highest)...talk about a shock to the system.

Only the one car, but multi-line discount, clean records, 2017 440 ($77K MSRP) is $110 a month, hoping the X5 isn't too much of a jump.

I'm in Oregon and we've been with State Farm forever. Have homeowners and an umbrella policy with them as well. Clean driving record. My vehicle insurance cost is $463.85 every 6 months.

AAA in MN. $435 every 6 months ($771 for both of our cars). Note we also get a safe driver discount after taking an online course. AAA has had great rates for us.
